Rain Short Story

A young doctor who has had to work hard at overcoming her unusual upbringing from leaving a religious organization when she was thirteen and then adjusting to the outside world. She is transferred to a new place but it was close to her orginal home. She went exploring and everything in her life changes. She is lured to a building by someone asking for help. When she enters the building the world falls apart around her. Then in the blink of an eye when she meets someone else who comes from the same group that she lived with, but never lived among them. He wants to learn about it to understand his parents. While they figure out all that is around them they find love as well. The two find something that they were missing in the other as they build on a friendship they didn't know they needed.

Years passed after princess Mapula was born, she set on a life's journey a new adventure, moving from her home Boakoena Kingdom in LeSotho to study in Cape Town. She was to discover her powers as the rain queen to harness it to full extent allowing her to transform physically into supreme being as well as connect with the spirit realm. He finds his way back as a spirit that only Mapulas gifted daughter could see to seek his revenge as well as to protect his kingdom as it comes under attack. Neighboring the Bakoena were the Batloung, another successful kingdom their crowned prince Thabiso falls in love with Mapula and they are betrothed to later marry and unite their kingdoms with their power and might. While Mapula is in school she befriends a Xhosa girl Kwezilomso daughter of Brian a shady and shrewd businessman. In a cunning move Brian facilitates Mapulas kidnap but he ended up being the one wipes out clean begging for scraps to survive as punishment. Tokelo Mapula's brother falls in love with the princess of Batloung Thabiso's sister. Kwezi falls in love with the adoptive brother of Mapula Lebo, the fun yet temperamental brother. The two wed under drastic circumstances as Brian Kwezi's father was against their union. In their early days they made a friend who become more like a brother to them after eventually helping him save his kingdom, Prince Ntsika of Manzini kingdom in South Africa.

Tuluyan na kaya nilang kalimutan ang isa't isa at patuloy na harapin ang kanilang bago at mag kaibang mundo?

“Do you understand that you'll ruin my mission? You claim to care about me! Well, this isn't the best way to show it!" I spit the words through gritted teeth.“First, I don't give a fuck about you. My mom was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her life is smooth-sailing most of the time. The only mistake she's ever made is falling for my dad. That's why she insists on finding me a husband who's the complete opposite of my dad. My dad is tall and intimidating-looking, so Mom wants someone who's short and perverted-looking. My dad is a knowledgeable and well-read man, so Mom wants a guy who has only graduated from elementary school. My dad prioritizes his moral integrity more than anything else, so Mom prefers a guy who drinks, gambles, and sleeps around. She tells me, "This type of man is easy to manipulate, unlike your father, who just divorced me out of nowhere!" It's true that the man Mom has chosen for me won't divorce me. After all, he leeches from me on top of beating me up. It's not enough to leech my money from me, it seems—he just has to take everything from me. My mom says in a righteous tone, "This is the only way that proves you're valuable to him. He won't divorce you at all." I've fought back and escaped from my husband many times. Every time I do, my mom will trick me into returning to him by hurting herself. As always, I'm greeted with another round of beating whenever I do return to him. Mom will take me to the hospital to get my injuries treated. Then, she'll say, "Hurry up and give birth to a son for him. Once you have a son, you'll be extremely valuable to your husband. He won't beat you up anymore." Today is supposed to be the day Mom takes me to the hospital to check my ovulation timing. She spends a long time calling me on the phone, yet I never pick up. After that, she sends me a few audio messages that last for 60 seconds each just to lecture me. "Beatrice Anderson, what makes you think you can just ignore my calls? The hospital check-up is for your own good! As long as you can get pregnant with a son, your husband will be wrapped around your finger! He won't divorce you after this! Why can't you understand how much I care for you?" I seriously can't understand at all. After all, I've gotten beaten to death yesterday. My corpse is cut into 28 chunks, and they are being frozen in the fridge as I speak.
