It was too disappointing as there was a heavy downpour on the first day they arrived at their destination, and they could not go anywhere. Were they supposed to stay in the hotel the whole day? Ryan drew the curtains and went back to the bed. He lay on his side while facing her, then he stretched out a hand to hug her and rubbed her cheeks with his finger. He laughed softly as he said, “Don’t they say that there’ll be a rainbow after the storm? We’ll go and see the rainbow when the rain stops. The rain is so heavy, and the sky here is exceptionally blue, so there will definitely be a rainbow.”

RAINE’S POV I hear my name being called, and I squeeze my eyes tighter, refusing to open them. I was not ready to face the day, to face the turmoil my life was currently in. “I know you’re awake.” I let out an exaggerated groan as I flutter my eyes open. Shane stands over me, holding a mug in his hand. “I’m starving, let’s get breakfast.” “I have nothing to wear…” I said, grabbing the edges of the large comforter and pulling it up over my head. Shange snatches it away from me, revealing my entire body.

She scrutinized me, her lower lip slightly quivering, thinking I couldn't answer that. I leaned in closer until my breath brushed against her skin, and her intoxicating scent filled my nostrils, enveloping me. My voice took on a rough, seductive edge as I murmured, "Because when it rains, you find beauty in sadness. Some people feel melancholy when it rains. But not you. For you, rain brings joy and a sense of being alive. The sound of rain comforts and calms you. It reminds you that a little rain is necessary for flowers to bloom. When life gets tough, you always think of rain. It's your reminder that 'this too shall pass.' You live by the motto 'you don’t get rainbows without a little rain

"We're here! Oh how I miss them!" Rain quickly run towards the gigantic gate. She frequently pressed the button to inform that there's a person wanting to get in. "Argh! Hundred of people lives here and nobody noticed that I'm here outside pressing this button that I don't know the connection! Seriously?! Tha—" Rain didn't finished her rambling, the gate automatically opened. "Oooohhh fancy," She said to herself. As she was about to say a word but suddenly she remembered that she's with nobody but herself.

Shannon’s POV The rain, mirroring the storm inside me, began to pour as I ran through the dark street. Each drop stinging my face, mixing with the tears streaming down my cheeks. The world around me blurred, my vision clouded by the betrayal I had just witnessed. Finally reaching my room, I fumbled with the doorknob, my trembling hands betraying me. I slammed the door shut, attempting to leave the reality of what I had just seen outside. But it didn’t seem to work. My heart pounded in sync with the rain tapping the window glass.

I just wanted to run away and stay away from Knoxx's sight or else, I might do something that I might regret in the end. Rain was considered a blessing in Rogue Town since the place rarely rains. There were also only a few sources of water and this rain meant the people could save the raindrops for other purposes. But for me? Rain meant I was stuck with Knoxx inside Dante's house. Who knew how long I would have to endure his presence? Feeling bored, the only thing I could do was comb my hair as I stood beside the window and waited for the rain to stop. I heaved a sigh.

The man's eyes scanned the alley like a predator seeking its prey, his sharp features illuminated by the flickering streetlights. After what felt like an eternity, the man turned and walked away, his polished shoes clicking against the pavement. Sherry exhaled shakily, her hands trembling as she struggled to her feet. She knew she didn’t have enough time. The storm above finally broke, and rain poured from the sky, drenching her within seconds. The icy water pelted down, soaking her hair and clothes as she limped through the streets, using the rain to wash away the blood and grime.

I sat down on the Floor as the rain fell on me . I couldn't leave ,I just wanted this rain to take my sorrow away . I cried inside the rain hoping that my life could just end the next moment . Why was I always this unfortunate,I did literally everything to please them ,but yet they could still hate me this much "What have I done to deserve this?'' I yelled , letting out the tears in my eyes . It rained for more than four hours and by the time it stopped it was already dark . Anyone who passed me by at that moment looked at me like a mad person ,I was literally shivering from my knees down .

CHAPTER 14. THE UNEXPECTED VISITOR The rain draped down my skin in a steady, downpour. I was wet like a puppy and my hair was sleek and glued to my face. It was heavy rain and a weird change in the weather. No one had mentioned the possibility of rain today. The day had also been so bright and had no trace of a storm. All of a sudden, the cloud had turned gloomy and the rain came down.

After a long ride of 2hours journey, we finally arrived at the Quill Alley, I got off from the bus then text Ms Susan that I’m on my way. One. Two. It dropped on my shoulders, I blinked my eyes, w-wait, Rain???! Before I could even find a shield to hide,, it started all of a sudden and quickly I ran to a nearby store, it has been closed, I stood under the outdoor roof, I breathed out as I wait patiently for it to stop. “Oh, I should text Susan-” Just as I bring out my phone, someone slapped it away from my hand making it to swim in the rain, I widened my eyes.
