He texted me that his name was Luca and when and where to meet him. I had never met up with another guy, but through the whole holiday, I had grown bored with watching videos alone. It was one of those random chat rooms, honestly the first result that popped up on G****e. Little did I know what I was in for.

Time drags by as I play, and I'm freaking thankful I turned off private messages. My chat box blew up when I said I might do private chats. I'm sure I was awkward when I did the whole wink thing, but going off how many questions exploded over it, maybe I'm not too bad at flirting.

] Not long after, I got another message back from him, ["Then, I'll be the only one who allowed to do all that stuff to you. By the way, aren't you busy today?" Then I typed the reply, ["No. I'm free. Don't worry, the bar closed today. I don't know the reason my Boss close his bar today, but it's a good thing because finally I can take it easy today, lol."] Not so long after I get a message from him again, ["Then, doesn't it mean you've more time in your hands now? So, we can chat more, right? I really miss you."] I laughed when I read the message and then replied, ["Lol, don't worry. I still want to chat with you too."]

Sixty-Four After dinner, they cleaned up together, a simple act that brought them closer. As they washed the dishes, their conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and shared dreams. Later, they curled up on the couch, each holding a glass of wine. The soft glow of the fireplace created a warm and inviting atmosphere. As they sipped their wine, they talked about their hopes and aspirations. Florence shared her dream of opening a school for children with disabilities, while Chaos spoke of his plans for his company. Their conversation was a beautiful blend of dreams and reality, a testament to the power of human connection.

My phone buzzed against my fingers in my pocket and when I finally realized what was going on, I pulled it out to speak to my best friend. “What’s going on down there?” I asked by way of greeting. There was a lot of background noise on Craig’s end. Banging and buzzing and grinding. The sounds muffled and I knew he had sought refuge somewhere less noisy. “We’re hard at work, as you can hear.”

Conversation flowed freely, a harmonious blend of laughter, storytelling, and catching up. Curiosity danced in Arielle's eyes as he leaned forward, directing his attention to Johnathan. "So, Johnathan, tell me about your work. What keeps you occupied during the day?" Johnathan leaned back in his chair, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "I'm immersed in the world of finance, Arielle. I spend my days crunching numbers and analyzing trends. But beyond the spreadsheets, I find solace in my hobbies. Photography and playing the guitar are my creative outlets."

After finally dragging myself out of bed, a wave of thirst hit me, prompting me to make my way to the kitchen. As I poured myself a glass of water, Richard, who had just returned from the gym, approached me and mentioned his friend's sudden visit. "Good morning," he greeted me. I mustered a simple "Morning" in response, not particularly invested in the conversation. He went on to inform me about his friend joining us for lunch, but I couldn't find it in me to care, offering a nonchalant "Okay" as my reply.

As if I'm deliberately shutting him down out of spite when he probably needs a friend right now like seldom before in his life.
