Dream Mate
I shouted worriedly when he was out of view.
“I’m okay, Katrina! I found the castle turret Tie mentioned. It’s a freestanding tower!” August called out.
I furrowed my brow as we stepped through the brush to see a large pond in a clearing with a six-story high stone tower next to it. It looked like what is often described as Rapunzel’s tower, right down to only one window at the very top. I’ve read and watched enough fairytales to be weary of this tower.
“How do we get in? Is someone going to throw her hair down for us to climb?” Tiberius joked as he tilted his head back to look up at the lonely window. “I’m not really in a condition to go climbing. Plus, how would you get in, August?”
