Raven Darkholme Mystique Novels & Stories

My vision was clearer, my hearing more acute, and I could smell the metallic scent of blood in the air. Savannah and I lunged into the fray. I targeted a rogue who was about to pounce on one of our pack members. With a swift movement, I sank my teeth into its hind leg, pulling it back and away. The rogue snarled and tried to twist free, but I tightened my grip, using my weight to pin it down. More rogues appeared, but we were relentless. I leaped at another, slashing with my claws and knocking it to the ground. The rogue struggled, but a quick bite to the throat ended the fight.

That fucking fake Priestess! “Something needs to be done Raven, I'm not leaving you here and–” A short scream escaped my lips when Raven suddenly grabbed me with one of his free hands and bit me hard on my neck. “I'm sorry Luna.” He whispered, squeezing me hard and sucking my blood like his last life depended on it and I let him be. I suddenly realized the truth and the meaning to all of the confusion. Raven wasn't just a wolf, he's a damn Vampire that was forbidden in Midnight Shade Pack.

They wouldn't be able to hide for so long without making a mistake on their part. “Yeah…their eye color would change back to normal, which is always black, whenever they are triggered or angry”. Raven's eye color had always been gray, and when she was angered it turned more grayish. “You don’t think they have been the one attacking us all this while”. Gale said, his brows furrowed in thought. “No thier method of killing is quite crafty, they can kind of suck out the life of the person with their dark spells, without hurting them physically”.

Abraxas Raven’s soul is so dark that it would give most Rogue’s a run for their money. You could feel it as you stepped into the house. And the bedroom just radiated her darkness. When I had been talking to Damien outside, I had half hoped I was wrong. That my baby girl had just had one of her nightmares, but it turns out she was far more aware of souls than I realised. Maybe sitting in with Neah had brought it out in her.

He paused, his devouring stance changing instantly to one of a dull child. His eyes widening in stunned silence, he whispered. "You do?" I stood confidently. "Of course Nathan. That's mysticshadow pack outside. The tactical moves, the flaming arrows, the suspense. It could only be Mysticshadow in action." His face paled , the colour draining like a punctured vessel. He coughed to clear his throat. "Well then. If you're so confident in your belief. You'd lead them to the front then. " " He's flushed Rowan, here's your chance," Raven said.

Misty confirms, but her expression is grim. “This baby is a hybrid. Half shifter, half vampire… and possibly a mystic, like her.” I squeeze Skye’s hand. “They didn’t deserve this.” “What happened in Aurorium?” the silver-eyed man asks, and I look up at him. Ryatt. He has to be the Shadowsynger. He’s a legend–a god, all things considered. Blake rolls his shoulders. I already know he’s seen everything at this point.

I said, my voice now on the verge of breaking. Cian looked down at me, "Look at you. You are a fucking nightmare, you know that? Seriously, I didn't think you had that much hatred in you. I certainly didn't think you'd killed your entire family to get your paws on that heirloom or some power. You're a monster, Ravena. You're greedier than I believed, and a lot more pathetic. You're sick!" He glanced at Lysithea, who mockingly smiled at him, rubbing her fingers on his arm.

There, barely visible in the blue light, stood a figure dressed in a dark cloak. Motionless. Watching. Marcus immediately raised his pistol. “Show yourself.” The figure didn’t move. Instead, a familiar voice echoed through the chamber. “You’ve come farther than I expected.” Claire’s expression hardened. “The Raven.” The cloaked figure inclined his head. “You’ve been chasing the wrong journal.” Amelia frowned. “You stole Nathaniel Ashcroft’s confession.” “I borrowed it.” “Why?” The Raven took one slow step into the light. His face remained hidden beneath a smooth black mask shaped like the head of a raven.

While I couldn't prevent the moon from appearing, I could resist shifting. Avoiding the shift was crucial; in Miles' form, I barely recognized who I was. I haunted people and hunted the innocent. From the start, even without being told, I knew I was a unique kind of werewolf. My parents had done their best to contain my wolf. Enlisting the help of a powerful witch, Maya, from one of Mystic Height's most influential witch families in the East, my parents placed a spell on me. However, I broke it on my sixteenth birthday after my first kill.

“Ok, if that’s what you decide, then I can’t stop you. But from what I know, there’s a dark side to being a night wolf, which is why that breed has only been bestowed on werewolves with a pure heart, so that they’re strong enough to not give into it. Which is why I hope that what you’re about to do doesn’t steer you into the dark, cause the last thing I want for you is for you to be lost to it for good, and not be able to do all the good things I know you’re capable of” “I’m supposed to protect the innocent against the evil!”. I snapped back defensively. “And you have! You’ve already done that. Luke is dead because he attacked, he chose to fight. As much as I can’t stand the sight of Violet,
