Raven Method Reality Shifting Novels & Stories

Raven tilted her head like she was listening to something none of us could hear. “Under everything,” she said. “Still trying to reconnect. Still waiting for me.” Marek’s expression tightened. “That’s not what it was,” he said carefully. Raven looked at him and this time there was no confusion in her eyes. “It is,” she said quietly. “It’s not a god. It’s not fate.” Her hand lifted slightly and silver fire gathered without hesitation. “It’s a containment system that turned into a parasite after the kingdom broke it by accident and kept feeding it fear for centuries.”

Something I still can’t name. “My research led me to two findings,” Raven continues, pulling my attention back to her. “First: we could transfer the spell to a different anchor. But that anchor would need to be incredibly powerful—strong enough to sustain the spell long-term. At first, I thought Sadie could serve as the anchor, but like I said, no one is immortal and the future isn’t guaranteed…” Her eyes dart to me and she gives me a look. At first, I can’t quite place it, but seconds later it clicks. She still thinks I had a premonition about my death.

It will be enough. Raven walked over into the middle of the circle of flowers and herbs her mama had made. “Star clad, my girl. Look around you. It is their natural state after all shift and you are definitely shifting tonight.” Raven blushed and then turned away from her papa. She disrobed and her mama began to pour the oils one by one into her hand and rubbing them over Ravens arms, then legs. She rubbed it across her chest and down her abdomen. She pored some more into her palms and threw the vial aside.

If we let the game end and Lenore ceased to exist. I kept walking, kept hunting, kept telling myself the math justified the cost. "Found one," Whitney said, stopping at the entrance to what used to be a transit station. "Class B, possibly verging on Class A. Paradigm Shifter variant." "Paradigm Shifter?" That was one of the types Julian had mentioned. "What does it do?" "Rewrites local reality according to its own logic. Creates zones where physics stops working normally, where cause and effect become suggestions rather than rules." She checked her readings. "This one's been active for maybe six hours. The reality distortion field extends about fifty meters in every direction."

Adrenaline races through my veins at the sight of him. He is monstrous and magnificent. He ducks his head down and licks the palm of my hand, snorts once, and takes off through the trees. “He couldn’t help it. So much rage at Spader, so much emotion that you got hurt, he just…shifted. He’ll run it off, hunt something fast and small. He’ll be better after that,” Raven says.

Ragnar breathed, his own eyes flickering silver, the lightning dancing around them both. Shadow surged beneath Raven’s skin, pushing forward. Ragnar’s storm answered, lightning crackling across their joined hands, neither flinching. Their wolves—storm and shadow—pulled at them, demanding, aching to complete the bond that had been held back by fear, by duty, by the chaos of war. Not anymore. “Shift,” Raven ordered, her voice rough. Ragnar hesitated, then nodded, stepping back as lightning flared, enveloping him. His body blurred, bones shifting, and for the first time, Raven saw him.

“As am I.” “You won’t send me back. I won’t go back there.” “Well, then, sweetheart, you best out run me,” Rider replied. Once the words were out, Raven wasted no time. She made a mental leap, likely hoping to either rematerialize in her own realm, where her physical body awaited her and Rider wouldn’t easily be able to follow, or into another stream of consciousness. Rider lunged for her just as she began to dissipate. If he could stay close enough to her, eventually he would catch up, and if he was lucky, he could grab ahold of her long enough to say the incantation that would send her to Hell.

Gideon knocks on the door before entering the room and I can’t help noticing the sad expression he is wearing. “What’s going on? What’s wrong with Raven?” Liliana asks while looking up into Gideon’s sad blue eyes that are identical to hers. “Raven can’t shift, she just found out she’s pregnant,” Gideon answers making Liliana and I both tense feeling worried about Raven. “She’s what? Is she ok?” Liliana starts getting up for Gideon to place his hand on her shoulder making her sit back down.

“Raven’s body is rejecting the multiple bonds. Four alpha bonds on one omega is unheard of. Her system can’t handle the strain.” I already knew something was wrong. I felt it for weeks. The headaches, the nosebleeds and the way my legs gave out after practice. But hearing it out loud made my stomach drop. “How long?” Ethan asked. Doctor Harris looked at me again. “Weeks. Maybe less if the rejection speeds up.” The room went quiet, only the monitor kept beeping. “There’s one way to stop it,” she continued. “Raven has to sever all but one bond. Permanently. The remaining bond will stabilize her. The others will break and fade.”

And yet this was no violent weather event. “Goddess, it’s started!” Ursula’s face seemed to pale even further if that was possible as she turned for the door. “The shift is happening!” “Ursula, can we use sedatives or tranquilizers if necessary?” Lucas asked, instinctively positioning himself between the door and his mate, the muscles in his arms flexing as Ares simmered just under the surface. “We can but only as a last resort.” The witch replied. “Trying to stop a shift half way through isn’t known for its successes.”
