Raven laughed. “We’re totally different from you wolves. You have two skins—human and wolf. But I can take countless forms whenever I please.”

Raven whimpers trying to breathe with blood pooling at the edges of her mouth as I do my best to not panic at her condition. “Raven stay with me!” I nearly panic dropping her into the snow then shift feeling that I am losing her. She whimpers and trembles as I press my head against hers before licking her wounds healing her as she cries. Raven flinches and cries out in pain when I lick the giant jagged wound over her ribs that is making it difficult for her to breathe. “Breathe and relax,” I link while staring into her dark obsidian eyes trying to get her to focus on healing instead of her fear and pain.

He stands up from his desk to tell us to leave, but before he can say or do anything, Allistar brings up a good point. "Should we be concerned about Raven shifting tonight? I rush around and get to my spot. Each one is far enough away that we can't even see each other. I hear the first shot and remove my clothes, shifting and focusing on the scent. I'm not even sure what it is; it's not something I've smelt before. I need to focus; this is the perfect opportunity for me to see if I am still as fast as before, if my time is not shifting and subconsciously pushing out Raven has impacted me. The second shot happens, and I begin running, following the scent and collecting the flags in my mouth. Raven takes over far more, which helps me run faster. Each time we race, the spots with the flags change, but I know the general time for when I should overtake Elijah.
