Raphael is more interested in the beauty in his arms. He turned her in his arms so that now she is looking at him. He locked his gaze with hers. Slowly the fog around him began to disappear, showing the form of the real Raphael. The handsome Raven Prince. But his eyes are still pitch black and he still looks scary to everyone. There is still no recognition in him about who he is. But the darkness and the urge to kill and immense hatred are not so intense.

After the argument in the car, Raven was surprised to receive a text message with an address and time for the gig. He debated whether to go as he changed shirts three times in front of his bathroom mirror, finally settling on a plain black t-shirt and jeans. He shrugged on his leather biker’s jacket and ran a comb through his hair. “Shit,” he told himself in the mirror as he fidgeted with his hair and ran his nails through the stubble on his cheeks contemplating the value of shaving. “You are like a nervous virgin dressing for her prom date.”

A clear, aloof, and chilling crow's cry suddenly rang out from within the Heaven's light! A Raven, pitch-black as ink with blade-like wings, suddenly burst forth from the golden radiance behind Carl! The Raven was not large, only the size of an ordinary bird, yet its feathers were black as the abyss, while its eyes burned with golden flames born of the heavens themselves. When its wings spread, they carried golden wind blades that sliced through space. Without the slightest fear, it charged head-on toward the three three-meter-tall Zombie Puppets! One Raven against three puppets.

“That’s what the Men of the Shadows use to bind people. If they said it’s a debt to pay, then it’s them. It’s those men.” My eyes scanned the chaos. I knew it, felt it—they were watching. “If they’re responsible, we need to leave now,” Damon said sharply. “They have to be here somewhere,” I muttered. “Do you want to die here before finding them?” Damon snapped. “What matters is leaving before this place burns to the ground.” “I’ll find a way out,” Raven said as she stretched—and then morphed into a bird, taking off effortlessly. I froze for a second, seeing her shift for the first time, but forced myself to focus.

My eyes traveled higher to my exposed neck. The ruined skin on my neck stared back at me. It was red, uneven, and blistered in places even now. A stranger looked out from the mirror. Short ginger-red hair. Haunted brown eyes. The scar that marked the death of Raven Moonshadow. I studied her—me—longer than I usually allowed. The woman I had been was gone.

The second circle protected the civilians still trapped inside the mansion. The innermost circle surrounded Alessio and Seraphina. Gunfire erupted. The night exploded into chaos. ⸻ The Raven remained motionless. Standing in the center of the battlefield, dressed in a long black military coat, he watched both armies collide. Rain slid down the smooth obsidian mask covering his face. On the right side of the mask… A silver raven feather had been engraved. Elegant. Beautiful. Terrifying. He didn’t carry a rifle. Only a long black cane rested in his right hand.

He covered his face with his black armor, only his eyes could be seen "Attention!" he commanded them, all of them were wearing black robes, with arrows and bows in their backs, all sitting on same black horses. Except Trion's robe had a white mark at the shape of a crow at his chest. "Listen, my fellow Ravens. Our identity is - we all are Ravenmen, not some tiny, fuckin' birds! We are neither afraid of dark, nor of some stupid risen of Gods! Yeah, here we are, in front of the entrance of South Leafstone. "Yeah!" nine Ravens yelled in unison

"That isn't a good example for Cherry." "You're not a good example for Cherry." Raven scoffed, appearing next to him. Black hair parted in the middle as it twisted in two messy french braids. She was dressed in a mesh white, dark green, and black jacket with a white hooded crop top underneath. Ripped blue jeans with black, fishnet leggings underneath, and a pair of solid black pumps. "What?! I am the utmost-" "Jackass." "Na-uh!" "Idiots," I scoffed. I didn't know how Charlotte could ever stay sane around those two. Timothy's stupidity and Raven's enabling of his stupidity was only going to leave my mate down a path of insanity.

Raven's eyes sweep over me, slow and appraising, before their lips curl into a knowing smile. "Oh, honey," they purr, clapping their hands together. "This is going to be fun." Raven practically vibrates with excitement, their eyes sweeping over me like I'm a couture gown they can't wait to tailor. Neon lights reflect off their sequined jumpsuit, throwing glimmers of purple and silver across their dark skin. I shift under their gaze, suddenly hyper-aware of how ordinary I must look compared to the dazzling explosion of colour around me. But Raven doesn't seem to mind. They take a step closer, eyes glinting.

Carrying something that burns with holy light. The crow lets out a vibration she feels in her bones—sharp, urgent. Raven stands. Adjusts the satchel. Pulls the hood lower. She doesn’t run. Running leaves trails. Instead she lets the shadows deepen around her, thickening the grass, bending moonlight away. She changes direction slightly—still southeast, but angling toward the marshes where the ground grows soft and treacherous. Places where a heavy man in armor might sink to his knees while a small girl glides across.
