Ophelia’s POV: I curled into myself, my knees hitting the hard floor with a dull thud. My fingers went limp, and for a terrifying heartbeat, Ria slipped from my grasp. I scrambled to pull her back against me even as the world spun. "It hurts... it hurts..." I whimpered, the words lost in the roaring of my own blood. Raymond looked down at me, his blue eyes burning with a cold light. He didn't look like a man who had just severed his family; he looked like a man who had finally cleaned a stain off his rug.

a familiar voice yelled in agony. “Jin?” I asked between tears shifting my eyes to the child who had been lying on the corner who I was sure was dead. He was slowly getting up as the rats which had covered some part of his body scattered off him. His lively, bright eyes had turned dull, almost like mine. “I’m sorry” I cried. “I’m so sorry, sorry” “NO!” he yelled in anger, causing the whole room to shake. I rapidly covered my ears still in tears. “I’m sorry!”

They had been waiting for him to awake when a nurse come to examine him only for her to declare to their utter disbelief that she was sorry they had lost their loved one. Her eyes misted over and she felt a tear slide down her. Then another followed from the other eye and another and another. They were tears of wrenching agony. A sob escaped from her throat, drawing her mother’s attention. The mother had seen the wounded look on Becky’s face and had tried without much success to console her. “Stop crying,” she had said. “I know how this is hurting but you can’t keep crying like this.”

I have a thousand and one issues to solve and a million questions to ask but there's no answers or solutions, the last thing I want is to worry about the only thing that gives me happiness. I couldn't control the tears from rolling down my eyes, I'm just starting to live and feel more alive here. Which is the only place where I'm carefree, light weight, unburdened shoulder and a peaceful mind. Far from the tools and sorrow of my body, soul, mind and spirit. Caitlyn said, her voice full of desperation, her form flickering as if she might disappear at any moment. Raymond reached out, his hand trembling. But it was too late. The crack was already closing. And yet, they both knew—this was only the beginning.

She exhales deeply, like she's trying to stay calm for both of us. "You started crying—first just sniffles, then full-on weeping. Then you started clawing at your neck like someone was strangling you. You were whispering 'daddy' and 'please stop' and—" Her voice breaks. "Rae, what the hell was that?"

she rasped, her voice barely audible. The men didn’t answer. They advanced toward her silently, their eyes cold and unyielding. Rhea closed her eyes, bracing herself for the end. But instead of succumbing to despair, a surge of energy erupted from within her. A scream tore from her throat, raw and primal, carrying with it a powerful shockwave. The force was immense, sending the men flying backward. Trees snapped and fell, and the ground trembled under the sheer intensity of her cry. When the wave subsided, the men lay motionless, their bodies broken.

The back of her nose tingles and soon tears of joy swarmed her eyes. Her chin wobbled and her lips quivered. The three of them froze thinking that they did something wrong. "Angel. What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Damon asked as he cupped her chin and made her look up at him. Riley tried to brush the tears with her fingers from the waterline of her eyes because she didn't want to get her makeup ruined but her tears won't listen.
