The flames engulfed the monster and the undead screamed and plummeted toward the ground below. The second monster reached for the child, fingernails long and curved like the huge talons on a harpy eagle. The little girl screamed and screamed, the sound grating on Damonq as she threw herself to the opposite side of the blue dragon, away from the monster. Her hand slipped, and she shrieked again as she dropped into space. Damonq caught her in his arms. Instantly she began to fight.

All I could hope for her to be happy and never come back to this place . I got up from the park bench . The early morning sun didn't help much with the cold either. I smiled at how terrified Belle was of giving her finals . She had clung on the phone call forever to find comfort .It felt good to know that the things that scared her were as simple as that. I picked up my pace to the haunted place I was forced to call home .

Theon A pillar monster falls right in front of me, nearly crushing me, but I jump away just in time. The sheer force of the fall breaks its stone arm in two, and the eerie silverish glow in its eyes subsides. The pillar monster stops moving. “I think he died,” I tell Haden, who is panting on the other side of the fallen monster. This is the only one that we managed to fall, and by the looks of it, kill. “Holy shit, did that actually work?” Kiran screeches.

I kept flinching with each knock and was thankful that I had already sent Sarah to the library, hoping that she wouldn't be back anytime soon. "He is a monster," I told Roman as tears began to fall from my eyes. "I was so scared out there, but I stayed because I knew I had to be strong." I kept talking and crying before Roman pulled me into his chest for a hug. "I understand you; it's going to be fine, I promise you. I will never let him hurt you." Roman kept at it, trying to make me feel better. After staying that way and sobbing in his arms for some minutes, we finally heard retreating steps and then the sound of a car zooming off.

"Let's start with introductions, shall we? What's your name?" The biker glanced at Victor again before he returned his eyes to Dante. "I don't have time for awkward silence, friend. There's no need to be nervous. Just tell me your name." Dante commented, obviously wanting to make the biker more nervous. Dante and his mind games. "Richard Aims." Victor was the one to reply, pulling all of our eyes towards him. "I take it, you two know each other." Elijah commented, and Victor nodded his head, looking annoyed out of his mind.

I whispered as the sun began to peek over the FUTO horizon, painting the campus in shades of rose and gold. He looked at me, and for the first time in fifty-five chapters, the shadows were gone from his eyes. He leaned in, kissing me with a softness that made the world stand still. It wasn't a kiss of desperation; it was a kiss of peace. "It's over, Elara," he whispered against my lips. "The Monster is dead. Only the man is left."

Nicky had done far worse than just bite me. I looked up and coldly stared at her. "You people are really made for each other." "What's that supposed to mean?" she snapped. "You know what it means," I said, standing up to jab my finger in her shoulder. "You're a monster who beat up my wife so badly that she was critically wounded." Then, I whipped my shaking finger around to point at Nicky. "And as for you, you're a little monster who flushed my wife's ashes down the toilet!"

I needed to feed my monsters or there would be consequences. “Hi, handsome. Would you like some company?” I turned and saw an attractive blonde standing next to me. Perfect. I thought to myself. She wasn’t my usual but she would do. So I started my game again. Within thirty minutes she was walking out the door with me. We walked over to my car and I held the door as she climbed in. I smiled to myself as I climbed into the car and drove her to her death. This wasn’t how I wanted the night to end at least not with this woman but it would hold off my demons for now.

I scream, but no one can hear me over the grunts and growls of the fighting men. The monster tosses Thatcher away from me with ease after a few seconds, but before he can grab me, Thatcher shifts into his blonde-colored beast. He clamps his teeth into the monster's shoulder and throws him away from me. But his victory is short-lived because the other two beasts jump in and pin him to the ground almost immediately. The monster begins to approach my guard/friend with an evil smirk, and my feet act instinctually. I dart in front of Thatcher and put my arms out wide as I stare at the man who I have seen murder "other" Amber a million times in my head.
