Read A Little Life Novels & Stories

To stay away from everyone, to keep them all in the dark about how fucked up my life is right now. I look at my bookshelf and smile when I find my favorite childhood book. Little prince. I grab it and cuddle up on my bed with the book. I pull the blanket up to my waist and open the book on the first page. I can’t remember the last time I read this book, but I know it will bring me back to memories from when I was a kid because I remember reading it to Layla.

Good:) ~~~~~~~~~~ Dillon dotted his 'i's and crossed his 't's. With full confidence he slid his proposal across the table to Tony. He typed intently on his phone then looked down at his proposal. Before he could read it he reached across the table for his glasses. Damn, he was sharp in them. If Dillon didn't know better he could be a professor. The look of focus he had as he worked added to the aesthetic. He would read a part of it then start to type on his phone again. For a few minutes he bounced between the two.

Opening my phone, I type out the perfect text. -Hey! How are you?- Faith. I’m a literary genius, clearly. I groan, disappointed with my conversation starting skills as I wait for a text message to come through. Three very long and disappointing minutes pass and I decide reading makes time move much faster than staring at the device I’m basically begging to ding. I pick up my romance novel and immediately I’m sucked in. A dashing prince is racing against time to grab the magic tears of the moon so he can turn his beloved into her human form so they can finally be together.

I might as well throwing pillows at him, for he reacts like nothing is happening. "You must not value your life if you think lying is going to set you free." he says, as he throws me on the ground hard. A crumpled piece of paper is thrown at my feet, and I cough, trying to clear my throat. "READ IT." he orders, throwing something against the furthest wall from us. It breaks down, crumbling to pieces, and I flinch, grabbing the note with shaking hands. Reading it carefully, my hands tighten on the crumpled parchment:

He reads very quietly that if one make a slightest noise around him, that noise will be transferred through his ears, like the light footstep at the back of the tree he was currently reading his psychological book in and that was heading its ways to him.

Everything about him reminded me of my favorite male lead character from my all time Romance book “ Make Me Yours Tonight” “About your test,some of you did well while others not so well” Mr Richard said distributing our scripts. “Good job Stephanie.” He said to me while dropping my script. I was so surprised to find out I had an A. English was the only subject I had struggled to get an A for weeks now . It was either a B or C . The smile on my face was second to none. I was still staring at my script when Mr Richard announced that he was giving us a break for 30 mins. He walked out of the class leaving those who were rejoicing rejoicing and those who were mad mad.
