I didn’t take my eyes off Lex. “Talk,” I said. Lex exhaled slowly, almost like he was bored. “Ghostshade grows in two nearly identical strains. One heals. One accelerates blood corruption. The difference is in the root coloration after harvest.” Maeve froze. “That’s not in any known record.” “No,” Lex agreed calmly. “Because most healers die before they can record it.” Silence hit the room like a physical force and my wolf surged hard beneath my skin, pressing against control I was barely maintaining.

You too" I muttered to her. "Hmm Aeshe whats the feeling of being ghosted?” she asked me out of nowhere. "Did you see the guys who cry when we are leaving them? And to see a guy crying with just a week of flirting with them it would have been a lot of pain that it caused them to cry like that." I said to her.

I let my wolf know because the Gray wolf looked like he was tired and barely holding on With a few more hits and growling, Ghost had the gray wolf under his paw, not wasting time he bit down hard and deep on the wolf's neck before ripping his throat off. Pulling off him, Ghost gave me control standing there. We watched as the gray wolf took his last breath.

He drummed his fingers on the table. “Ghost. No last name. Adopted by Christopher Blackwell as a child. No blood relatives listed. No history of lasting relationships.” Vladimir put special emphasis on that word before trailing off. “Greymount, you said you sensed something earlier?” “I have commitment issues.” Snatching the olive from my drink, Ghost placed it between his teeth. “My favorite food is pancakes and I last took a shit this morning. “Hurry, Father. You must help Ian!” Adam steeled his nerves, took a deep breath, and forced his legs to take him across the hot, charred ground as fast as he could. He had to weave around a few spirits who were so opaque and dense that they could have easily passed as real people. He debated whether they were even aware of him as they moved aimlessly about in a zombie like manner.

"Elle, you need to see this.” Ghost calls out. I push the knife a little harder into the Collector’s shoulder before jumping to my feet. I give him one last look before turning my back on him. His fingers have stopped twitching; even if I take the knife out, the damage is most likely permanent, and he’s no threat to me anymore. I see Ghost has walked behind the counter; he has a computer in front of him and the glow of the screen is lighting him up, making him look like some kind of otherworldly ghost. I kind of get the name but it seems more like a punishment to me, like his parents judged him on how he looked when he was born and decided to brand him with the name forever.
