“Or,” I said, “something your father left behind.”
Without another word, he reached into his bag and pulled out his tablet. The device hummed softly when the drive clicked into place. Lines of encrypted code filled the screen, then cleared to reveal a series of entries labeled with dates, all written in Richard West’s hand.
Liam scrolled slowly, his jaw tightening with each line. I leaned over his shoulder, reading in silence.
