Her friends were becoming scared of her. Suddenly, her heart started to beat quickly, and her blood began to race through her body, causing her to tighten her grip as she felt the pain. Her blood was racing like it was being guided. It kept accelerating, making Scarlett feel like she was on fire. Then, all of a sudden, the light in Scarlett's bathroom went out, leaving her only with the moon's reflection. Then, as she turned to face the moon, her room grew dim.

There is something comforting about them, even if they do not always reflect reality. Horror, on the other hand, fills me with dread. It gives me a wild imagination, and I often end up with nightmares after reading or watching anything scary. After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

I fell asleep towards the end. "You said you weren't scared?" Camila argues. "You said it was a boring movie. You slept." I chuckle. "Well, I lied. I only put on a brave face." "That must have been a scary movie. You must've been scared, Lippy," Hearing says my nickname makes my body feel sick. Leah peeks her way through my conversation with Camila. "But you must know scary movies are just make-believe stories. There is no such thing as Freddy Kruger or Jason. It's okay to be scared; as adults, we see those movies as not real. Even children can tell the difference between fiction and non-fiction."

An urge to smoke-filled her; she fetched a pack from the inside pocket of her dark blue jacket; ignited the flame, mumbling, “Every legendary story is a pent-up frustration of human beings to invoke fear in the minds of those whom they hate. Several against one or one against many.”

I said, feigning innocence. I glanced around after speaking. It was true. There wasn't a single living person in sight, but ghosts were everywhere. "This place is cursed!" Charlotte snapped. "I can't even stop. The moment I even think about it, it feels like needles are piercing my hands." Even as she spoke, her hands kept moving. Fear flickered across her face at the scene before her. The terror in her eyes was truly a rare sight to behold. "Is this your doing? Did you come up with all these tricks to scare me? You just want revenge for all the times I picked on you at school, don't you?"

She didn't want to hear anymore of the frightening story. "Don't tell me you're all scared. It's a myth, I made it up!" John smirked, his eyes gazing at the scared faces of his girlfriend and friends. "Ha ha ha, scared? I've never been scared of anything in my life!" Rocky roared in laughter as he rose from the ground. "Scary stories don't scare me. I'm gonna pee!" He uttered still grinning. "Don't wander far into the woods, you never know who you'll meet." John warned in a playful but spooky voice.

Jones stared at Claire as she whispered, “What happened next?” Suddenly, she was a little girl again. He used to tell her scary stories about werewolves, vampires, fae, and warlocks. May hated it, but he couldn’t say no when his little niece looked up at him with big eyes and asked so politely for a story. He would always stopped at the climax, sighed dramatically, and say that it’s too scary. She would grab his hand and say she wasn’t scared, that she would be brave. She would ask, so excited, “What happened next?”

, Clinton chipped in with a crazy chuckle. “Wow! Bring it on, I love scary stories. My favorites movies are horror movies”, Enola said with certain level of boldness. The guys were already challenged because they can’t object at that moment owing to the one fact that a girl was already bold. They wouldn’t want to be the weak ones. “Please don’t make it too scary…. I want to sleep well this night”, Ella warned. With her warning, it was obvious that everyone of them wanted to hear the story, no matter how scary it looked.

Scarlett cried, before sniffing her nose. "How scary is it?". Amelia asked because she was tired of playing games with Scarlett. "It's very scary Mama!". Scarlett said in between tears. Amelia nods her head so that Scarlett can continue her statement. "Inside the school premises….. I do see monsters walking with their head on the floor, while their leg is in the air……. I do see some monsters changing into beasts, and they always come after me, while using a knife". The young Scarlett declared.
