“You are heaven, I am earth.” Wade suddenly laughed. A low laugh mixed with mockery. “Is this some kind of film? I only hear lines like that in movies.” I kept my gaze on him. “But this isn’t a movie. This is our reality, Mr. Chilton. Like I said, you are heaven and I am earth. We live in the same world, but our social status is completely different. You are literally heaven, and I am earth, just a poor nobody. I can’t offer you anything other than myself, Mr. Chilton. The difference between me and the women you’ve been with is that I am the one who wants you, not your wealth or influence.”

I awake the next morning feeling more refreshed than I have in a while. The day is bittersweet for more reasons than one. Today is the last day elder Everest will ever spend with his family and friends until we all join him on the other side. I believe in Heaven and know in my heart it is the same as the spirit world, the place where good souls go to spend eternity in peace with those they loved in this life. Not a puffy cloud or harp in sight. “Yes, there are dimensions of Heaven. This is one of them. It’s closest to the living realm, so it was easier for us to meet here,” she went on. “Am I- am I dead?” I asked her. “No, Rachel. You’re not. You are very, deeply unconscious at this time. I thought it would be a good time to meet you,” she turned to face me as we neared a park bench.

“The Forty-Ninth Heaven, including the Greater Realms and the Haleth Realm, must be ruled by us living beings.” His words carried a powerful resonance, captivating the listeners. Quintus erupted into hearty laughter and looked at Quentyn.

“There’s the heavens, the midland, and the underworld. Your parents are not here so that only leaves two choices.” The heavens and the midland. She’s heard of them and never believed them, of course. If only she paid attention before, she wouldn’t have been too surprised when this happened to her. But even a devoted believer would flip if they too realize that the thing they believe in is happening right in front of their faces.
