He was worried that the reaper brought a corpse back from the Forbidden Forest because if that happened, he would have a lot to explain to Queen Reality. "She fainted." "Huh?" "She saw my face." "...without the hood?" "Yes." Horan bit his lips, holding in the urge to laugh. "Never mind," he said, dismissing his vile urge, "take her to the sick bay." The Grim Reaper went to the sick bay that was prepared for lost humans. At the register counter, the attending snail asked, "May I have the name of the patient please?" "Vanzie." "Full name?" "..."

Her appearance was embarrassing. "Yes, doc, why? " She shuddered at the answer. Joan's eyes twinkled as she stared at him. Doc, Sean nodded as he spoke. In the personal Nurse of Miss, Zaragosa. "What is your name again? " I ask here. "Joan Rupen, at your service! " Smiling she answered me. "Miss, Joan.. you told me to pass it on, huh? Don't forget! " He said to the Nurse. One carefully removed the stained bandages from Noah’s forehead while the other cleaned the stitched wound with warm saline. “Healing nicely,” one nurse murmured. “No sign of infection.” The other adjusted the dressing around his shoulder. “He’s stronger than he looks.” Outside, Mrs. Reyes leaned against the wall, rubbing her tired eyes. She hadn’t realised how exhausted she was until she tried to stand still. “Mrs. Reyes.” She looked up. Lila stood at the end of the corridor, dressed simply in a pale blue blouse and jeans. In one hand she carried a bouquet of fresh lilies. In the other was a small basket filled with fruit.

Focused. “Take him first,” I say as Ronan is dragged in, blood soaking through his shirt. “I said I’m fine,” he mutters through gritted teeth. “You’re not,” Sophia snaps suddenly. We all turn. She’s there. Already moving. Focused. Different. Not scared. Professional. “I’m a nurse,” she adds quickly, stepping beside the doctors. “I can help.” They don’t argue. They don’t have time. She’s already working. Good. I turn back to Elena. She’s still in my arms. Still holding on.

It's all legal and doesn't look like a scam. "Le--Leonard Connor?" The nurse's voice suddenly choked. How could he not know Leonard Connor? His ancestors in the afterlife must be waiting to meet him in the near future. "I--I'm sorry, sir... this way, please," she said suddenly kindly. Her other co-workers looked at each other. They refused to get involved with the very famous god of death. "It seems that her death is near," said one of the senior nurses who just looked at her junior with a pity look.

She groaned. I worked at one of the hugest trauma centers in New York City as a trauma nurse.Which means that luckily for me, I got to deal with all the fun things like people getting shot, car accidents, drug overdoses. Not fun for the people experiencing these problems but for me, it was entertaining and fun. Fun to see these people get better, fun to tend to people’s wounds. I think I had a natural calling for nursing. Or maybe it was because my mother was a nurse, and this was the only way I could feel connected with her.

It was the male nurse from the hospital. All my thoughts screeched to a halt as I stared, wide-eyed in horror. I couldn't, for the life of me, make sense of what I was looking at. A million and one questions raged in my head, forcing its way to my lips. But strangely, the only thing I could ask him was, “Who are you?” He stared at me with those deathly eyes and then he whispered. “I am the reaper and I'm here to grant your wish.”

Rafael made a point of calling a barber every fifteen days to keep his father’s appearance in order, but nothing could erase the absence that man left while remaining inert. The sound of the door opening made him blink quickly, pushing away the emotion that threatened to overtake him. The butler entered with his usual impeccable posture, but his voice was low and respectful. “Mr. Rafael, the nurse has arrived. She is waiting in the office.” Rafael simply nodded, not taking his eyes off his father. He gently squeezed his hand one last time before letting go, running his fingers over the rough skin on the back of it. He took a deep breath, straightening his shoulders.

Our outburst startled the nurses attending to the patients in the occupied cubicles. -"Alpha, over here." A nurse instructs me to follow her with me carrying Naomi's stone-cold body into a private room. Morris and Oliver take Luke to one of the empty stretchers, where a team is ready to evaluate him. Laying Naomi's motionless frame on the bed, I entrust Doctor Reyes and her group of nurses to do their job. Reyes and I knew each other from high school. Although we didn't have many periods together, we shared biology and chemistry classes as lab partners. A nurse respectfully asks me to wait outside the room, and I comply.
