"Did I break it...?" Looking around, she pursed her lips. 'Thank God No one saw me!' Cautiously, she grabbed the old decayed book with a wooden cover. It had no label, just creepy old intricate engravings. She flipped open a page randomly and read. "End is bleak and the rise close, The crimson Rukh and the guardian of the flame, One who bleeds blue holds the fate of those, Beware, every cheat has a price. Curse is on the name. Huh!"

I exclaimed in surprise. "Mrs. Russo," Little Nine said, but his expression quickly changed, and he apologized, "I am sorry, Ms. Leah." I waved at him and said, "No, it's okay. Why don't you come in?" I opened the door and let him in, passing him a glass of water. "How are you doing? What about Little Red?" I asked. Little Nine collected the water and said, "He is fine. He was sent to the mining ground by the master last year and is expected to be back maybe in the next hundred years."

she mumbled, intrigued. Nueva flicked to the last page, and a nightmarish creature covered in red fur with large canine fangs stared at her dead-on with its vile green orbs. She instinctively closed the book; her chest rose in short ragged breaths. Nueva quickly tied the string back around the cover and placed the book neatly back in the waiting slot.

It’s strange twisting branches are now visible, swiftly moving with the wind. The woman was in awe. She then glanced at the animals that surrounded her. In an instant, her jaw dropped, witnessing the unusual features of every animal. One had four eyes, while others had flowers growing from their antlers. The critters on the woman’s lap moved, softly bumping their scarlet nose against her. Their gem-like eyes widened as their irises dilated in excitement. The woman responded to them, carefully caressing their faces. As she bowed down to meet the critters’ gaze, strands of her hair got loose from the back of her ear. Promptly, the waves bounced. A book came out along with his hand, both fully intact. “The Courage to Trust,” by Dr. Franklin Reed. He had to be joking. There were hidden cameras here somewhere, I just knew it. No fucking way was the god of wolves cracking open a self-help book from the mortal realm. Sure enough, he fanned through the book eagerly, skipping over several chapters in the process. The tip of his tongue appeared from between his plump lips. He found the page he’d been looking for and quickly skimmed it. With a satisfied hum, he chucked the book behind his shoulder where it was swallowed up by that strange, shimmering magic.

There was a book and a pen on the coffee table, though, which was something. Crystal leaned over, picked it up, and was disappointed to discover that it wasn't a diary or journal. The title on the book's jacket read: Howard's Amazing Adventure- and according to the back cover, the book told the story of an alien rabbit that had accidentally broken into the earth. Crystal picked up the book, turned a few pages randomly, and finally put it down indifferently.

A small smile tugs at the corners of my lips as I put him down, hearing him growl for the first time. I stand here watching Brice as he plays, knowing he's more than enough for me to want to live for. I look over as a female walks over and hands me a plate of food that I take, before giving her a slight nod as she lowers her head to me with respect. I look around at everyone as they began to eat again. This is my home, my family, my pack. That's all guys, I hope you enjoyed the book, and thanks for all the love and support you all have shown, I really appreciate it.

The only glimmer had been Coral, the red wolf I was guardian for. The red wolves were the protectors and peace keepers of all wolves, and I was Coral’s guardian wolf. Our history told us that having a red wolf present on earth was enough to bring peace and prosperity to all wolves. At most in our history, there had been ten red wolves at one time. Over 200 years ago, a power hungry group of wolves started killing off the red wolves and their guardians, until there were no red wolves left. This led to a

The light stopped at Ward 119, and he heard the cry of a newborn baby. Suddenly, words appeared on the door, and he understood that a part of the prophecy had been fulfilled. He entered the room and saw the new parents gazing lovingly at their baby girl. They were startled when they saw the seer approach their child, but he placed a bracelet on her and declared her a supernova. "But the supernova died a thousand years ago!" the father exclaimed. "Yes, but your child is different," the seer explained. "There were other supernovas, but they all died. The title has not been given until now. Your baby is the next supernova, and a prophecy is attached to her. Only the gods can protect her."
