But what was waiting on the other side just might. And opened it. The words dropped heavy between us. And just like that—my world tilted. There he was. Drake. In a hoodie and jeans, looking like he’d just walked out of a memory I hadn’t asked to revisit. Same tired eyes. Same unreadable expression. Same jaw that always tensed when he was holding something back.
