Red Rising Pinks Novels & Stories

It felt good to be back here. The walls were a different shade of pink. On the northernmost part of the wall where the head of her bed was located was covered in a wallpaper with rose pink background and luscious fuschia pink flowers. The westernmost part where her windows were located was painted in the palest shade of pastel pink, almost the same shade as her window frames. The other side of the wall— her workspace and reading area was painted in carnation and every other shade of pink there was. It was mostly an outbursts of pink, her favorite color. She had maintained this color since she was a kid and she didn't see that love for the color dwindling anytime soon.

“Babe, you don’t understand! I can’t wear pale pink polish!” “What about hot pink?” “No! That’s even worse, I need like a sassy pink or maybe an angry pink,” “An angry pink?” Emrys questioned as he watched Ostana bicker to Laker about nail polish, I laughed and pushed both boys out of the way. Laker and Emrys reflected each other's faces as Ostana was deep in thought, peering over each polish bottle, her finger twirling a strand of her raven black hair.

"We found Ms. Smith's clothes and phone in the soil beneath the black roses… along with a human skeleton!" The entire room was suddenly deathly silent, until John sprang to his feet in shock, "What?!"

I pointed out, pushing the tablet gently back to him. “Is that so?” He said, meeting my eyes. I was fuming with anger, but I tried to calm myself. I will not cry in front of him, especially when Blake is not doing anything except banging the table. “You are only seeing pink in the design, but you seemed to forget there are fifty shades of pink.” I stood up. “Pink lace, piggy pink, baby pink, cherry blossom pink... Do I need to continue?” I asked. He scoffed. “And your point?”

“Hello, I’m back! Do you have any bouquets in red and purple, or can I have one made up. I found out that that is my babe’s favorite color combo, especially if there are red roses.” The girl behind the counter looks at me “Nice combination! We don’t get a lot of call for it, but I can put something together. I have Black Baccara roses, they are a deep, velvet red, I can mix them with some brighter red carnations and poppies that have red petals and a deep purple center and purple lattice, oh! I just got in a few other things that may work…I can do this.” She smiles as she starts turning to the back, then shoots over her shoulder “Good to see you back and to know that your girl’s mother didn’

“I put on make-up, not really good at it but I’m quite decent if I say so myself.” Krister could only nod his head as Rojean had left already to the walk-in closet to change before grabbing Sei’s mask on the table, his eyebrows furrowing. She came out with a different bag than what Krister intended for her to use, from a black to a red one. “This bag is cuter, I want this more. It still goes with the outfit anyway.” she said, feeling as if there was something lacking in her appearance. She blocked out her mind and her face dropped the expressions it had before walking towards Krister. “Now?”

Let’s take a walk around the island, then head back. I looked at the sky streaked with colours, unwilling to leave. There was no telling if I’d ever see a view like this again. Hand in hand, we walked around the island. The place was mostly rocks with very little greenery. The pink came from red coral pushed up by the tide. When the water receded, the coral stayed, giving the island a soft blush, like a veil wrapped around it. The sun sank lower and lower, disappearing into the horizon, leaving only a sweep of crimson clouds, vivid enough to bleed.

Xander, who had been frozen in front of the entrance, walked over to Rose and handed her his share of loaf. Thea looked at the one third loaf in her hands and chewed the hard bread slowly. The food in her mouth tasted like sand. She saw Rose wince every time the piece of loaf slipped into her mouth. Thea had to give a thumbs up at Rose who completely ignored Odger's words as she expected. With hair almost the same color as Thea, flowing long and beautiful with clear green eyes, Rose did look like a princess compared to Thea who had short unkempt hair and red-brown eyes.

"How much further do we have to go? Are you trying to wear me out on our first day of marriage?" Gabriel laughed along and pointed to a villa about 30 feet ahead. Freya looked up and saw a burst of vibrant red. With the sky growing darker and the light too dim to make out what they were, she asked, "What's that?" Gabriel stayed silent and pulled her along as he ran. When they reached the gate and pushed it open, Freya was met by a garden bursting with royal poinciana blossoms, their flowers swarming every branch. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she gazed up, lost in the beautiful sea of blossoms. A breeze picked up, sending the red petals fluttering to the ground. It felt surreal, like
