“Don’t say that, Jax. You’re going to be fine. The Confradia doctors are going to fix you. You can’t give up, man. Even if you don’t call her now, you can still recover from this and find her later. Do it for her, Jaxon. If you love her, you’ll fight for her!” Logan’s orders cut through my self-pity that day. Several weeks later, I went under the knife and spent months recovering and reteaching my body how to move. Throughout the whole process, Logan was by my side, encouraging me and challenging me through every painful step. The doctors were amazed by how quickly I was able to recover. They called it a miracle, but I knew it was determination. Logan and Stryker Owens, one of the Confradia

With a final embrace, we said our goodbyes, and I left the room, carrying the weight of her warmth and the pendant against my chest. --- Sneaking out of the pack compound felt like a betrayal, but the distant music from the lawn told me that my absence barely mattered to the Blackwoods. In the shadows, I moved swiftly, a small burlap sack holding my meager belongings clutched in my hand. I ran into the woods, each step a desperate escape from the pain of rejection.

In a private room in the tavern, Princess Dorothy shrieked and grinned at General Grunt. "Sir, please give us some good wine! Today's the day you're saved from danger. Let's celebrate!" Why would she not be delighted when she finally reunited with General Grunt? However, General Grunt was rather indifferent. He hesitated as he asked, "Princess, you've successfully found a pure Yang body for Skylar. That means Archfiend Antigonus will be reborn soon and then the world will be doomed. Let's–"

She hadn't seen him earlier because he'd just returned from patrol, but Alpha Carl looked so different from when she last saw him almost two years ago. Turned out that Vader, Beta of the Blue Scorpion pack, miraculously escaped after Logan's raid, which ruined his plans to kill Alpha Danister and the princess and succeed the throne. He left the pack and wandered rogue for nearly a year before coming to form an alliance with Alpha Carl. The next morning I woke up bright and early so I could get everything ready for the trip home. I finally decided to read the message I had received last night. This only further confused me, does he think it’s ok to be ice cold one minute then try to apologize the next? I really could use a strong drink and it's not even noon yet. I met Logan in the lobby before the car arrived to take us to the airport. Logan of course looked great but I didn’t let it affect me.
