I would have loved to serve him his last supper, but I can't act too conspicuous. “Great. Any other questions?” When no one spoke, he nodded. “Good. Your food for tonight will be served shortly. Tomorrow, be ready by 7 a.m. for the live broadcast. Best of luck, everyone.” Dinner was served outdoors under a canopy of stars, the group seated around a large wooden table. The meal a simple spread of rice and stew was served in clay bowls. The ambiance was almost idyllic, though the tension was palpable.
