Dwight felt anger wash through him as he realized that Reid was indeed the one behind the attack. “You did it?” he asked with threat. “Listen”, Reid said. “I…don’t”, he wanted to say but Dwight held him by the neck and threw him across the room. “How could you?!” Dwight said again and wanted to pounce on him but was held back by Maxwell.

Reid, free, waving at the east hall camera like a man on holiday. Beside him, the buyer’s clean coat. And on Reid’s phone screen, already uploading, a shaky clip of Harden on his knees and my boarded window behind him. Reid looked into my lens and mouthed two words I could read from across a city.
