Novel & Cerita Rejected Mate: The Lycan King's Claim

Axel fell into her arms in tears. She ran her fingers in his hair. "I ran and found myself in the Lycans clan." Axel lifted his face. "Father said that they are our enemies, don't let anyone hear this." "The Lycan king is my mate, and he rejected me because I'm not just a werewolf, but I'm wolf-less and weak." She broke into tears again. Axel patted her back. "You should be glad he didn't kill you." He stared at her face. "Isn't it time to give our Alpha king a chance? He really loves you."

Then I looked at her with deadly coldness before speaking in a serious voice that everyone heard clearly "I, Alexander Morganth, King of the Lycans..." I paused for a few short seconds before continuing "I reject you as my mate, Maria."

The Lycan King was coming here? I’d never seen the Lycan King before and it filled with an odd sense of trepidation. It was said that he was built like a mountain and could lift a building on his back. Why was he coming to our small pack? At that, Head maid’s voice pierced into my thoughts, “...the King is searching for a mate. Alpha Liam said if the King chose a mate from our pack, it would elevate us all and secure us a spot as royalty!” A bitter smile curled my lips at their naivety. Liam was a selfish alpha and his desperation for power was his only motivation. He didn’t care about any of them and yet they were fooled.

"Let's get straight to the point, shall we?" I blinked at him, not knowing how to take the news. I guess that explained the weird sensations I felt whenever he spoke, looked at me, or touched me. "I do not want a mate, much less one that looks like she can open her legs that easily…" What?! He was indirectly calling me a whore. I wasn't a whore; I was a virgin until last night. The bloodstains on the sheets should prove that. "Excuse m—" "I, London Knight, Alpha King, and Lycan Alpha of the Bloodmoon pack, hereby reject you—"

The alliance contract, the one that I took years ago and gave to Kaiven. Below it lay another document. One I knew straight away. A marriage contract. My hands began to shake as I read the front page. Lucerian Veyth. The Lycan King. The exact same guy that I was supposed to marry before I left. The same man that I embarrassed in front of everyone. The same man, to whom I had betrayed myself. There was a hush in the room. I raised my gaze to my father. Then my mother. Neither looked away.

Shock flashed across his face. Then disbelief. “Your Majesty,” he said quickly, lowering his head. The pack warriors immediately followed his example. Sunny, the Lycan King, watched him calmly. “So,” he said slowly. “You must be the Alpha who rejected her.” The tension in the air became suffocating. Alpha Sunny straightened slightly. “Yes, Your Majesty.” Lycan King Sunny tilted his head. “Tell me something.” “Yes?” “Why?” The question hung heavily between them. Alpha Sunny frowned slightly.

Ginne** He stepped closer to the bed, his gaze never leaving my face. “Pathetic,” he said, voice drenched in contempt as he began to take off his clothes, “a feeble human could never be my mate.” I watched as confusion took hold over me, my breath hitching as he unbuckled his belt, letting his trousers fall to the floor. His boxers followed, and his erection sprang free, thick and veined. Mate? The word rang through me like a prophecy and a curse. It made no sense—Lycans and humans could never become fated mates in Bleeding Rose Country. It was forbidden… There was no way something as absurd as this could ever happen.

My chest felt tight, my wolf was going crazy inside me, and the bond was singing in my blood demanding I go back, claiming that our mate was right there, so why was I running? I guess we both know the answer. I learned my lesson the first time, I wanted to scream at her and tell her that mate bonds are beautiful lies that end in rejection and pain and wanting to die. Just then, I heard footsteps echo down the corridor and I looked up just in time to see him, Alaric, the Lycan King, moving toward me with a kind of speed I have never seen before. I straightened my back as every muscle in me was prepared to fight him but he stopped a few feet away, giving me space, he had a look of wonder on hi

As expected, he found my reaction funny. “You’re saying you’d have been nicer if you knew I was to be your mate?” he asked, the solid weight of his hand still pressed on mine. I looked at him, this time failing to hide my ire. “I’m saying I wouldn’t have chastised you for roaming on grounds that aren’t yours.” I immediately regretted my choice of words as I could see the impact it had on everyone seated, the Lycan King most especially. His hand withdrew from mine as he reclined to his seat, my skin suddenly missing the warmth of his. “I admire the fire in you.” He said slowly, gazing at me with an odd look in his eyes —“Call me Rafael, seeing as we’re about to be wed.”

He doesn't need your approval! "I will send you to Eclipse Castle. The Lycan King is fond of you after watching your match. You will leave there as long as he wants," he uttered. "There's no guarantee that you will be coming back here…alive." My eyes widened when he mentioned the Lycan King who personified arrogance, virility and power. Everyone was afraid of him. In his prime years, he killed thousand Alphas. It was a miracle that he was the one who offered a truce but of course, all of us were still at his mercy.
