Rejected Mate: The Lycan King's Claim Mga Nobela at Kwento

she asked after seeing that I knew too much for her to deny anything further. I smirked, taking another drag from my cigar before responding. "Well, all that I want is your silence, Desiree. That, and your undying support." I paused, exhaling the ingested smoke. "The Lycan King will become unstable soon because he now has no true mate and that will cause the Elders to give me the title. When that happens, I will be given what is rightfully mine and you will have the love of your life."

I slide into the armchair next to me. “What? Why would I do that?” “I was rejected already. You are my second chance, mate. So I understand you are rejecting me. You are the Lycan king. Why would the moon goddess give an omega like me to someone so powerful?” Goddess, first an alpha and now a lycan king? The moon goddess has a sick sense of humor. “Wait. Who was your mate who rejected you? When?” He asks, and I can feel his jealousy peeking. I’m going to make a run for it. I have to. The minute I tell him who my mate is, he will be even more disgusted with me.

"You cannot stay out of it even if you wanted to, oh great Lycan King. Your soul and body calls out for her." The Lycan King decided to ignore him. He turned away again, but Luca called him back. "Why do you Kings love to live in denial? You know fully well that you are attracted to her, and that's because she's your mate—" The Lycan King slams his feet on the ground in anger. The building croaked as a result. "She is not my mate!" He screamed with a broken heart. It made perfect sense that he was rejecting me as his mate. I had given him pain in the past. He didn't want to relive that.

“The Lycan King claimed protection first.” My head started hurting badly and I felt trapped. Like everyone around me discussed my life while I stood there powerless again, just like before. One elder stepped forward carefully. “By ancient bond law, a rejected mate may still remain connected if the rejection was incomplete.” Cassian’s face darkened instantly and Draven looked victorious for the first time since entering the throne room. The elder continued nervously, “However… if another Alpha forms a competing claim…” The room erupted again and my breathing became uneven.

“Until you prove your loyalty to me, that will be the time I will accept you as the queen. I do not want a weakling as my mate.” Bastard. The Lycan King should have said he would reject me. It would be faster that way. And by that time, I would have no difficulty killing him in the process if I found out he had something to do with Sabrina's disappearance. Why was I paired with the Lycan King again? “Being mates is not like that. We will accept each other without conditions. You will accept me for who I am,” I explained. “I can make my own rules. I am the Lycan king.”

I swear to the Moon Goddess—or whoever had cursed me into becoming a slave to this bond—I was nice. I had tried. I had restrained myself. I had tolerated her disrespect. I had tolerated her slaps. I had tolerated her insults. And now she dared reject me? Me? The Lycan King. The strongest being. The male wolves feared. The one entire kingdoms bowed before. The mate I had waited decades for had looked me in the eye and rejected me as though I were nothing. As though I were beneath her. As though I was some inconvenience she could simply throw away.

He said indifferently, a slight curiosity to his eyes. "It was not my intention to be intimate with you... I was... not in the right state of mind," I said meekly. If I had guessed correctly I am speaking to the eldest son of the Lycan King, and he is rumored to have killed his mate for being unable to bear a child. No one knows exactly what happened, but I believe he had also rejected his first mate. Dana whimpers in my head at the thought of being rejected by our mate. Given the circumstances, I would gladly accept his rejection if it means escaping death in his hands.

"Then what did you do?" "Wandered, mostly, for longer than I'd like to admit." A small, tired smile. "Followed rumors instead. There aren't many stories that spread faster than the Lycan King personally escorting a rejected exile out of Mooncrest territory himself. Once I heard the description — silver-black hair, golden eyes, a fresh rejection mark — I knew it had to be you. I just had to convince the border guards to actually let me in and prove I wasn't a threat." "You came all this way. Alone."

An exceptionally handsome man in his late thirties was standing in the living room, his cold amber eyes, sharp jawline, and aloof look on his face rendered me speechless. Handsome? Check! Rich? Check! And my mate was the Alpha King! “There’s not a chance in hell that he will accept me as his mate!” I swiftly compared him with Brandon and prepared myself for a brutal rejection. Or lycans had the tradition to kill weak mates? After all, their bloodlust was renowned in the entire world. King’s overall classy appearance forced me to submit. Just like my parents, I bared my neck in submission. “Greetings, Your Majesty!”

Kaedrin called calmly, and I involuntarily looked up, meeting his eyes. “I do not accept your rejection,” he said coldly. A shiver ran down my spine. My wolf felt contented, knowing our mate was not as crazy as I was doing things without thinking. “I reject your rejection, Nysera,” Vaeric said as well, frowning. I grimaced. A part of me was pissed they weren’t rejecting me. Another part was somewhat happy that they weren’t willing to let me go. My emotions were jumbled. I guess this was what I got for being mated to the infamous Lycan Kings.
