I said flatly, “he doesn’t get to make that decision anymore. If he refuses… then there’s going to be war.” Miranda sighed, shaking her head. “Your kind really does love resorting to violence, It’s a shame.” She spread the parchment across the table, revealing a massive map. It detailed continents, witch covens, islands, and even pack territories including the Pycon Pack’s. I still wasn’t sure what she planned to do, but I kept my eyes on her every move. My phone buzzed in my pocket and when I checked the screen and saw Tina, I got furious.

This time I would be the one attacking, I need to start planning a strategy to attack, I'm done playing defense, it's time to attack. My eyes glowed while I sent a brutal mind link to my cousin, “I need every single detail about where those Wendigos are coming from. I want eyes on those witches, check every hole you think those Wendigos might be coming out from. Search the whole of this town and the nearest pack beside us, and also send a message to the council, we need to have a meeting with them. Enough is enough!” “Yes, Alpha!” Dexter answered through the mind link, everyone could feel the anger radiating from my body, they had cleared up the way for me to pass.

he asked, his voice low and gentle. I smiled, feeling a sense of relief and accomplishment. "Everything went as planned," I said. "My pack has agreed to help us, and even the Witches' Clan has decided to join our cause." Callista nodded in agreement. "I've already contacted my people, and they're happy to help," she said. "We'll have a strong alliance, ready to face whatever the vampire kingdom throws our way." Alpha Red's eyes narrowed, his expression serious. "We'll need to coordinate our efforts, make sure everyone knows their role and what's expected of them," he said.

Mira asked as she sat down closer to her friend. Alicia looked at her with a curious gaze, the look on Mira's face gave away that whatever she was about to tell her would be big news. "No, I have not. Tell me." Alicia said to her friend as she stared at her with clear interest. "Well, the war is over. Turns out the werewolves won, and the witches surrendered simply because they were a fucking lot stronger than we'll ever be and we are dying for no reason so they believed it was better to surrender, the alpha of the werewolves will soon take over the throne." Mira said and all the blood drained from Alicia's face.

, Abel pressed. "She's a witch", Zeke replied, shrugging nonchalantly as he glanced sideways at his Beta, who was obviously confused by his indifference concerning Merlin. "Did you get anything out of the witch?", Abel questioned, switching topics. "Nothing useful", Zeke replied, his expression blank. "How did she get in?" "Flew in on a broom" Abel glanced at Zeke in surprise, unsure if he was joking, but the Alpha continued striding purposefully down the corridor, without a flicker of emotion on his face.

The last thing I needed was more trouble. By afternoon, the trees thinned out and the path joined a bigger road. I saw other travelers. A group of young mages chatting about academy entrance tests. A merchant with a cart full of glowing potions. I joined the flow of people, keeping my head down and listening. "Did you hear about the witch at the werewolf execution?" one mage whispered to his friend. "They say she grew dragon wings and disappeared. The Alpha King is furious. He has patrols out everywhere." I kept my face blank and walked past them. My heart beat faster. Kael really was not giving up. Good thing I looked nothing like the girl they burned at the stake.

When he finally reached the oasis, he carefully pushed him into the water. Then he pulled out the witch dagger from his pocket. The stone on the dagger was glowing with purple lights in all its glory, as if it had stored all its power. He raised the dagger and plunged it right into Jack's chest. As the blood slowly spread over the body, he dropped a jet-black, moldy, and rotten seed from a small box he pulled from his pocket onto the body.

COME TO ME BEFORE THE NEXT BLOOD MOON… OR I COME TO YOU. The map on my desk didn’t help. It sat there every time I entered the room, a silent dare. The parchment was stiff under my fingers, edges frayed, the ink of old borders and rivers faded but legible. The little X that marked the witch’s last known cabin looked almost innocent. I’d traced it so many times that my fingertip almost knew the route by heart—out past the northern patrol lines, skirting Nightfang’s edge, then veering into the wildest, least‑touched stretch of land.

" Leo said. I nodded my head at him. To Brody, I said. "If you find anymore woman bring them here. I know that's what Hope would want me to do. Archie has the map and the info on the other Hard Dick's locations they need to be searched as well." "Black Witch Mountain is about a days travel from here." Leith said. "We will need to go in our wolf forms, and we should leave at first light. The coven is protected by good magic. I need to contact Lidia and Hannah and let them know we are coming."

After they left, she went ahead to make sure that none of them were around the vicinity before returning to join us, "Begin now, witch.” I watched in curiosity as the blind witch carefully set the map on the table in front of her and lit the candles around the map. She placed the cubes of sugar at different angles on the map and began chanting a strange song as she moved the necklace along the map. The map showed the location of many packs both far and wide. As the necklace hovered over a particular spot on the map, her body trembled violently, and she froze, her hand stopping mid-air. "Did you find anything? What did you see?" My mother asked her curiously, her eyes darting between the map
