Remy wasn’t home. For a second, I was sure that she had gone. This was how it was the last time. A conversation and I didn’t see her after. She took nothing. At 10:15, the door to the cabin opened and she walked in. I stood from the couch. “Are you—?” She slammed the door shut. “I’m not late, am I? 10:15. That’s what you said. That’s what I did. Got a problem with that?”

I'll always be appreciative for what she had done when I needed her the most. Within the time span of three hours, Remy showed up at my new place. I had already prepared hot wings, one of her favorites, and I put on a movie on the seventy inch flat screen television in the living-room. "Well, this is certainly nice," Remy said as she walked in and started looking around. "Thanks," I responded and handed her a plate. "So, you'll soon have your first million dollars?" She sat down.
