Leon lived in the penthouse of an exclusive apartment complex. During my tour with his father the night before, I made a show of asking for his address from his father. He had shared it with me, but I already had the info. If the old man had refused, I would have gotten it from Adrian. The kid’s face flashed in my mind, and I buried it immediately. My focus was needed elsewhere. I drove into the gated complex and parked in the underground garage that served both residents and visitors.

What matters is that I will be seeing her again. We arrived late in the afternoon and Leon met us. Leon rented a bigger room, which was a combination of two rooms converted as one. There was a small divider to separate the living room and the place where the beds were placed. The bedroom consists of four single beds, two beds on one side and the other two on the opposite side. The living room has a couch and a flat-screen TV. Just a few steps away from it is a round dining table big enough to seat four people.

Mercy suggested, " I will go check the bedrooms. " I nodded before heading upstairs. Something told me, I ought to go check on the roof.I took the stairs instead of the elevator. Lea's place was only four storeyed , with a lush green surrounding, a gigantic pool and a couple of rabbits beside the garage door. He restarted the car's engine, preparing to press the gas pedal, but before he could do so, he noticed the front door of the orphanage opening. Selena was pushing her wheelchair alone towards the courtyard. This sight made Leon quickly turn off the engine, exit the car, and run towards Selena. He wasn't sure if Selena had seen his car arriving or if she had come outside for some fresh air. But at this moment, Selena was steering her wheelchair towards him.

“We were contacted by the don. He’s in Mexico. He said he... he put a price on Brento. We are just—” “Do you know Brento?” “No... no. We are just street gangs. We—” The words died in his throat as Leon shot him in the head. The fourth man was older, somewhere in his mid-thirties. A scar ran through one eyebrow. He had watched the other three die without making a sound, his eyes remaining fixed on Leon as he approached. “You have one chance. Use it,” Leon said. The man’s voice came out raw. “Lupe Rez,” he said without blinking.

ALLY'S POV I went back to his room and looked for my phone. Once I found it, I grabbed it right away and hurried out of his room again. I went down the stairs and headed straight for the door. When I finally got outside, I called Mang Pedio and told him to come pick me up. As I walked, I noticed I was in a building – so Leon lives in a penthouse. I walked down the hallway looking for the elevator. When I spotted it, I got in right away and was joined by two men inside.

I thought my heart would come out from my chest when the door opened, revealing Leon who just resurrected from the dead. His eyes are cold as ice already as if he knew I was going to be here. His intimidating look sent shivers down my spine and his hair was disheveled from sleep. He is only wearing a fitted black sando and a white shorts, defining his broad shoulders and chest muscles.

“It might come across as weird.” “I own the penthouse apartment in your apartment building,” Nathan explained. “I’m living there right now because it’s close to this building. You just have to go up to the top floor and tell me that you’re unable to sleep because of them. I have a guest room that doesn’t get used. You’re welcome to it.” Leon looked more reassured now that he knew all he had to do was go up several floors. “Okay. Thanks for the offer,” he said and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. “I’m only coming if I’m desperate. Don’t wait for me or anything like that.”
