Roland’s POV… I woke up in a pool of my own sweat, shivering from the cold. I had dreamt of that night five years ago every single day. It always ended the same way with my brutal rejection of her. My first mate and the only woman I had ever loved. But I knew it was for the best, I had to reject her for her own good. I got dressed without any hope of sleeping again. “It’s quite early Roland, why don’t you come back to bed,” Melissa called out from behind me.

Ruby didn't want to willingly add another false memory to her head, so she didn't bother giving a thought to the name, or whether she was supposed to know him. "Hmm," she just exclaimed. "What are you running from?" He asked her. "I'm running from a horrible nightmare that I just won't wake up from." She stated with a shudder, Alden's brow furrowed while he tried to make sense of the message. But she was awake, he thought to himself. "I'm deeply sorry about it, and I hope you wake up from that dream." He said waving the reality off. Anabelle, Alden's sister approached the two slowly and cheerfully.

"Ray, I'm gonna show you some crazy stuffs right now, but promise me you won't freak out. Please, I already did enough of that." "What's going on Ella? Just spill it. I'm getting worried" And I could hear the worry in her voice. "Well, remember the dreams I told you about?" Rachel nodded. "The crazy dreams you have been having for the past few days. Yeah I remember, so what happened?" "I don't think they are just dreams." I said and shivered immediately at the thought of what I was about to reveal to her. "What do you mean?" "Well, I woke up this morning to something else Ray." Breathing in and out heavily, I stepped back from her a little.

The lock screen clock tells her it’s 8. It takes 45 minutes to reach, very few people arrive at this time. She reaches her cubicle and sets down her bag. Turning on the computer she opens chrome again and types - ‘What do recurring dreams mean?’ She fervently scrolled up and her eyes caught one snippet of an article: ‘Recurring dreams often tell you the future.’ Her ears started ringing. Future? What kind of future does her dream entail? The images, the scenarios that momentarily gripped her with fear and anxiety. The dream that she had since 16, the one that did not show her any pattern, the one where she never heard anyone’s voice but filled with horrific images that made her scream awake

As much as I wanted to believe his words, I found myself unable to. It was just too good to be true. It felt like the easy way out of my problems. "I can't believe you, Nathan," I told him the truth. My lips continued to tremble and tears finally gave way. "I've been having strange dreams," I blurted out in a tiny voice. "I shouldn't even call them dreams but they feel so real, like I'm actually there and I keep seeing a dark version of myself wanting to be released. . ." I revealed as my entire body began to tremble.

This time my sleep is plagued by nightmares and dreams alike. But I only remember one dream, that still plagues my mind when I wake up. I cry out from shock as I am pulled out of the nightmare. My whole body is trembling and I am covered in sweat, which has drenched my clothing making them stick to my body. The image still haunts me, Ash calling out my name, his hand reaching down to grab my hand as I fall. Then suddenly the dream freezes and words appear in the sky in blood red writing. ‘There coming’ then it flickers ‘were coming, be ready.’ Then suddenly I am falling again, than just before I hit the ground it blacks out. That’s when I woke up. I lie there as still as possible, too scared

I felt a deep sense of contentment and peace, all because of the woman by my side. Looking back at everything—the visions, the struggles, and the rough phases I had endured—I realized they were all lessons. My once "Blinded Dreams" had now given me clarity, empowering me with a new perspective on life.
