Ribbons Book Novels & Stories

All the books were so thick, wrapped with leather. Rosa peeked deep at a golden book curiously. Her brows slightly drawn together. A single piece of paper was tucked between the pages. Rosa pinched her eyebrows. A letter?

I felt the dark energy of the club outside bleeding into my veins. Raphael reached into his pocket, his hand coming out with a long strip of soft pink ribbon. Without a word, he brought his hands behind my head. He slowly wrapped the pink ribbon around my bare neck, pulling it just tight enough to press against my skin, turning me into his own private prize.

He explains. Now I'm eager to see it. Liv finally handed me the book with the ribbon untied. "I hope you will love it." He says. "I'm sure I will." I answer him as I seriously open the rectangular book. Only to realize that it was a sketch book. It was his sketches. It were all portraits..... of me. I gasped.

It took him an hour to figure out how it works hahaha. He soon turned the book over to check it's title. On the cover, among the pretty colorful gems and butterfly designs is a title of bold golden letters that brought a sudden shiver to his body. 🌹Ruby and Aurelius🌹

Then, behind a stack of yellowing envelopes, I saw it. A leather bound book with a faded red ribbon tied around it. I pulled it out carefully. It was heavier than I expected, and I could immediately sense something… off. A faint shimmer ran along its edges, like the residue of a ward spell. My mother had definitely protected this book. I untied the ribbon and opened it. At first, it looked like a medical log dates, names, and details of pregnancies. She had worked as a midwife and herbalist for years, after all.

His training and skills were far beyond her own experience. She reached out and grabbed her staff from its corner spot in her room. She examined it quickly; its braided threads of different colors wrapped the top, with a small, vibrant red ribbon chain with a brilliant, blue feather, given to her by a Ribon. The Ribons were beautiful birds of vibrant reds, blues and greens. Their songs were of even tones and lovely tunes to the ears. Laylan had spent many days in the forest listening and watching the Ribons. She took her staff, and then turned out of her room.

I turned it to the side where there is no dirt and wipe the book using it. I saw a black cover with gold linings and designs. I touch the ribbons that are placed in some of the pages. There are symbols located at the bottom part of the cover, carved and painted in the color of gold, but I don’t understand what it means. I looked at the back but there were just designs. I tried opening it but there’s a metal lock on the side. Huh? Was this… a secret book? It kinda looked like a grimoire.

No one moved. Not because we were afraid. Because after everything we'd been through... We had finally found it. I took one step forward. Then another. A breeze stirred the grass. Something white fluttered beneath the old tree. Not a bird. A ribbon. It had been tied around a cradle carved from oak. Empty. Inside the cradle lay one last thing. A small leather book. My name had been pressed into the cover in faded gold letters. ARIANA Before I could reach it...

"It reminded me of something I'd forgotten." Lyra nodded. "Not forgotten." She gently corrected her. "Hidden." Pearl considered the distinction. "There is a difference." "A very important one." For a few moments they simply stood together in the quiet corridor. Then Lyra reached into the sleeve of her robe and withdrew a small silver ribbon. It shimmered softly in the light, woven with delicate symbols that almost seemed to move across the fabric. She held it out to Pearl. "This belonged to someone who believed kindness could outlive kingdoms."

“Ahh I don’t really know why, but I think I’m just gifted?” Miss Minerva assist me to go back to prepare for a bath.
