Riley's POV I decided to get ready, to dress up and look exquisite, as Chadwick had put it. Maybe that would help me feel more confident, more prepared for whatever lay ahead. Immediately after changing and putting on my dress, a black knee length fitted gown, Norman poked his head in. “Riley, you look so gorgeous,” he complimented and I felt a flutter in my stomach. “Thank you.” I mouthed as his hand curled around my waist. His breath fan across my ears as he pecked me on the cheeks.

I had to admit…I looked hot. Riley wore a wine-colored corset top and high-waisted leather pants that made her look like she owned the entire night. Her brown hair gave her a whole new vibe. We left the apartment and got to the party a few minutes later.

Her hair was coiled into dreadlocks streaked with blue, and her gaze lingered too long on Jaxon before she turned to Riley with arms crossed.

It's too…” Brianna was saying when Riley cut her short, “Come now!” Brianna stood up like an obedient puppy and walked to Riley's half of their room. “Perfect!” Riley exclaimed after Brianna was done putting it on. Brianna held an unsure expression. “Don't you think it's too much?” She asked. Riley shook her head violently. “It's perfect on you! Shows the appropriate amount of skin and screams class like someone who works at Frostborne!!” Riley declared, causing Brianna to laugh heartily.

“Nope. Eat your breakfast and get dressed. After the visit with your mum, we’ll play.” Riley frowned. “But I want to play now.” “Sorry, kid, house rules. Now eat up. We have to leave in half an hour.” Riley grumbled some more, but he cleaned his plate and slid off the stool to get dressed. Jack let out a breath and cleaned the kitchen. Now he just needed to visit with Kara to go smoothly for Riley’s sake. “Ready,” Riley said as he came back out of his room. “That’s what you’re gonna wear?” Jack asked, raising his eyebrow at Riley’s clothing choice; patchwork shorts one of his sisters had made when she was teaching herself to sew and a t-shirt that said, ‘I paused my game to be here.’
