"D-Did you figure it out?" The man who was always dominant in the workplace struggled to speak those words. I nodded, only to realize he couldn't see me. Yet I remained silent. I no longer had the courage to speak. After a long pause, I finally asked, "W-Where is Sebastian buried?" Sethian's voice was still rough when he answered, "At Guthram Cemetery." I immediately searched for it on my phone. Guthram Cemetery was a small, not-so-well-known cemetery located on the outskirts of the city. It was serene and beautifully maintained, and the grounds were cleaned daily.

Just then, a girl came stomping over to the door, grumbling. “What’s going on with Ashley? She was yelling and rushing over like someone was dying! Who in there could get her that riled up?” She nodded at Nash and Mason. “I’m Dr. Miracle’s assistant. You can call me Riley.” She clearly thought they were just bodyguards. They were midway across the path, in front of a cemetery when suddenly graves started opening. "What is going on?" Isabella asked, clutching onto Chris tightly. Chris was suddenly sweating so furiously but Ariel was cool and her face was blank and devoid of any emotions. They stood there watching six tombs open and six scary-looking ghosts walked out. Isabella was already whitish in appearance knowing who they are. Chris's hairs were all up and his eyes green, his normal sight nature. "GREETINGS TO THE SPECIAL ONE." One of them muttered. "GREETINGS TO THE LITTLE GODDESS." Another muttered.

"There were others. People I trusted who betrayed me. People who taught me that caring was weak and vulnerable were just giving someone else a weapon." Riley nods, her expression patient but expectant. "If I tell you everything and I mean everything it's going to change how you see me." I lean forward, elbows on my knees. "You might understand why I am the way I am, but you might not be able to forgive it." "Maybe." She doesn't flinch from the possibility. "But secrets change things too. And I'm tired of loving a ghost." "A ghost?" I asked, suddenly confused. "The version of you that you think I want to see. The one who's learned his lesson and won't hurt me again." She stands, moves closer.

My hands shook uncontrollably as I reached for the sheet, but I couldn’t bring myself to lift it. It couldn’t be her, this was a dream. Riley was strong, there was no way she could be dead, not without a warning. “Claire?” A voice came from the doorway. I froze. That voice? It was impossible right? Her ghost couldn't possibly be speaking. I turned slowly, afraid to hope, terrified it was some twisted hallucination. But Riley stood there, alive and breathing. She frowned, confused as to why I was crying over a corpse. “Is this real?” I sobbed harder, wondering if I was hallucinating.

You never walked in without being watched. At the far end, a battered steel door sat beneath a flickering red light. Riley walked up and knocked three times — slow, fast, slow. Her hair was coiled into dreadlocks streaked with blue, and her gaze lingered too long on Jaxon before she turned to Riley with arms crossed.

“But I believe we need to speak.” Riley clenched her palms. She already knew what he wanted to talk about, but she kept her face still. “I saw your story on TV,” he continued. “A beautiful young woman with a magical story… a soul whose body died but entered a different host.” He paused, meeting her eyes. “I found it fascinating.
