I start. Cole hits the gong, and I shut my mouth. Cole reaches for something in a bag beside him and pulls it out. It’s a jacket. “Congratulations to the newest member of the Iron Brothers—Jacqueline,” he says. He hands me the jacket and I inspect it briefly. It’s identical to Cole's jacket except for the right arm patch that says Jacqueline in pink. Suddenly, all the men stand up and throw off their hoods. They start clapping, the candles are blown out, and someone turns on the regular lights. I’m enveloped in a flurry of hugs as they all rush to embrace me as one of their own.

The coldness vanished, replaced by a dark, possessive intensity that locked onto mine. Cole reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a ring. I immediately recognised that ring... it was always on his finger in every picture, every interview, every damn public and private appearance he went to. The robber replied to his leader. The leader's eyes narrowed as he sized up Liam, scrutinizing him from head to toe. His gaze lingered on the ring. After a moment of contemplation, he turned back to his subordinate and issued a directive. "Leave it. It's just an old, useless ring." With that, he signaled for their collection efforts to continue, dismissing the matter and moving on. For a moment there Liam thought he was going to have to fight the robbers to keep the ring, but he was relieved that they didn't insist on it.

Clad in leather biker jackets like the one on Coles back, the signature scorpion ring-like shape on the back in red thread. The scorpion in the shape of a circle, with its tail just reaching its head. A piston and crowbar in the middle forming an "X" in silver thread. Not very detailed but quite unique, being the only one of its kind. Every member has her/his own jacket, although there are of course alterations and personalisation is allowed to certain extent. Mine has royal blue checker flacks at the sleeves, albeit I'm not wearing mine now. Whereas Cole opted for a skull at the right breast plate.

Johan asked while Vincent instructed the clerk to bill his brother from the University. “It’s the Morell seal,” he told Johan proudly. “Members of the main family always wear this wherever we go. I seem to have misplaced mine though,” he added, “so I borrowed my brother’s ring.” Vincent took three big bags full of clothes from the counter and thanked the clerk. He then took a separate bag from the rest and handed it to Johan. “Here, this is for lending me your shirt.” he said with a smile. Johan looked inside and saw a very expensive leather jacket inside it. “I can’t accept this!” he said, handing the bag back to Vincent, “This costs more than a year’s worth of my student allowance!”
