A cigarette rested between his lips as he sat and held onto it lazily; his suit was laid just beside where he sat. “Oh, Mariana, have your seat," Roberto said with a concerned look on his face as he scanned her weak body, but Ana Sophia caught it, that brief flicker of satisfaction that flashed in his eyes. It was gone in an instant, but she caught it, and it just confirmed her initial suspicions about Roberto. How could someone who was born and raised in the cartel be a good person? He was the one who raised Jose to be so ruthless, so how could he possibly be kind? He liked and approved of how Jose left her in that dungeon; he would probably despise Jose if he went soft on her. From the corner of my eye, I see Ragnar watching it all from the sidelines, like a messenger of death himself. A rogue tries to flee. Ragnar's scythe spins out of his hand, decapitating him, but he doesn't kill him, I notice, just as someone knocks me down and just like that, I'm carried into the heat of the battle again. Ryker, on the other hand, blurs between wolf and human, leaving dead men in his wake till the last of the rogues stands. "Who sent you?" Ryker asks. I wobble on my feet, completely exhausted but manage to keep the stray wolf firmly in a chokehold.

Ríos hugged his husband. “That’s the reason I was there! And that young man is Agustin’s boyfriend. And do you know who did it? Gio Robles.” They all froze and Ríos stood up. “Who did you say?” he asked. Ander looked at him. “Gio Robles, one of the board members of the organization and foundation.” Ríos’s eyes widened, and he cursed loudly before slamming the table. “I knew it! So, what happened?”

He was about to apologize but then Alejandro burst into laughter and made him confusingly laughing too. “Well, a cockroach is bit too much, Robert. You guys underestimate me a lot,” he replied, controlling his laugh. Robert nodded. Both were gasping, trying to calm down. “And please call me Alejandro. I’m like your son, not like a son but at least a nephew, right?” Alejandro suddenly changed the topic of conversation. Robert miraculously lightened his mood. “You are more than my son to me. I can give my life for you, Señor.” Robert replied.

He gives Ricardo the cigarette and takes the Cuban cigar for himself and lites it up. After two drags, he gives Ricardo the lighter to help himself with his cigar. Mr Roberto puffed out his cigar for a while before he begins speaking. "Do you like my daughter?." He asks straight-out. Ricardo who was still struggling to light his cigarette gave him a response quickly. "Which of your daughters boss?." "The one you just left her room. Lucia." He answers smartly. Ricardo knows what Mr Roberto implies by pointing that he just left Lucia's room. Which ever answer he gives, Mr Roberto would definitely still do whatever he feels like with him so Ricardo doesn't responds to his question.

So Robert was lying. "I don't believe a thing you're saying, Robert." Mrs. Olivia uttered in a disappointed voice. Robert was startled after hearing her say that she didn't believe him, and when he glanced at Mr. Rodrigo, he could see that he was not buying it too. Robert opened his lips to reply, but he couldn't as Mr. Rodrigo spoke up quickly. "Robert is no longer the CEO of Electro Industries," Mr. Rodrigo said, with finality in his tone, as he looked at everyone.

Upon hearing her reason, Roberto looked sideways at Javier, his frown making it clear he suspected them of having been together all night. Javier’s jaw clenched. “Aren’t we going to swim?” he asked tersely. “Let’s head to the pool,” said Roberto, still a bit sullen. He was wearing a brief white pair of trunks, slung low on the hip, his body smoothly golden from the sun. Against his brown body his white hair looked even more fantastic. Javier moved away rapidly and they walked after him. Roberto gave her a reproachful look. “You said you were not his girl,” he accused.

"Ah..." Ryan began nervously, his voice quivering. "Allow me to introduce you to Robert," he hurriedly approached Robert, who wore a worried expression, likely stemming from Rio's presence. "Who's that, Mr. Ryan?" Robert asked, his gaze shifting between Ryan and Rio. "Don't worry, Robert. He's my friend," Ryan chuckled, turning to Rio, who fixated his eyes on Robert without wavering.

Anthony pointed a lighter at the tip of the cigar hanging between my lips. My head nodded, granting him permission. He lit my cigar. Pulled out a pack from his pocket, taking out a stick. He shoved the stick between his lips. He lit it up before putting off the light of the cigar lighter. Anthony took a drag and puffed out the smoke. “You look very worried, Alpha.” “Drop the formalities. We are on the rooftop,” I smoked my cigar, letting the fog draw a line in the blank air. “Leo,” he scoffed in disbelief, scratching his forehead. “Can’t recall the last time I called you this. I don’t like the sound of it in my ears anymore.”
