I swallowed and turned to my mother with cold and mean eyes. “No.” I walked away. “Why didn’t you fucking tell her?!” Blaze lashed out at me.

“Come on, you creepy little midnight snack! You picked the wrong people to mess with!” Tora snorted, flames whipping around her. “Yeah, and next time try something that doesn’t burn when I touch it, sweetheart.” Even in the chaos, the master of evil’s eyes glimmered from the shadows, seething. He had underestimated the power of love, the drive to protect, the unbreakable bonds between Guardians and mates. Each successful strike against his creations only fueled his rage, but for now, the tide had turned, and the girls could see their mates standing, alive, and ready to fight.

She explained as I nodded my head with my heart racing a marathon. “You called for me!" I looked up to see Beta Felix with ten guards. “You! You! You! You and you! Stay guard here, while the rest should follow me and Beta Felix!" I ordered as I instructed the six guards to guard the maids while I ran off to the said garden. “Alpha Blake, you shouldn't be seen running! The head doesn't run!" I heard behind me but that was the least of my problems. I kept running as the path to that garden seemed to stretch on forever, my mind had somehow come up with all the possible worst case scenarios that could happen to Gwen and my poor heart couldn't help but tightened in fear of any being true.

My mate is killing herself to try and get the hatchlings out of whatever magic container they have them in. “ANCALAGON!” I roar, rushing forward and pulling on my earth element. I put every ounce of fear, every bit of strength that I have into the earth that is rising from the floor, then I slam it into the wall. Ancalagon and the others must do the same thing at the same time because the explosion nearly blows me backward. It does blow Phoenix backward, but she spreads her damaged wings out to cover the hatchlings who are lying unconscious under her.
