I was looking Anna the whole time . She seemed to notice it now . I saw she eyes widen as she saw her plate .

Five years after my parents' divorce, I met my mother at school. She had just finished a parent-teacher meeting for her stepdaughter, who was the top student in the grade, and was beaming with joy. The moment she saw me, her expression darkened. "Do you always come to school dressed like this? This is how your father is raising you?" She handed me a business card and said in a condescending tone, "Take this. Tell your father that I'll enroll you in the international program right away if he's willing to admit his mistake. It's better than staying in the regular program and struggling." I did not take it and took a few steps back. "No thanks, Ms. Stroll." She frowned, her eyes filled with

I turned around and inched backed towards the stone wall, while the wolf in front of me slowed down and paced majestically towards me, probably planning to savour me slowly as he gurgled up my bones. I closed my eyes shut, with my bare back against the wall. Waiting anxiously and mentally preparing for the immense pain and eventual death that would soon ensue. Soon, I heard a familiar sound. The sound of bones cracking and re-shaping. I peeked my eyes open and saw the wolf shifting and turning back into a man. In a few seconds, a handsome and muscular man was standing in front of me. Drax. Well, that was what I heard those guys call him, so I guess that must be his name. I think he must have

He never left his gear, what had happened? Finally we got to the truck, Todd started it up while the rest of us continued to fight off the flurry of wings. The Watcher angel was on us now, its attention laser focused on the truck. Yet it didn't get any closer, hovering right above us. Then instinctively I knew, it wasn't attacking, it was sizing us up. It opened its mouth and another scream roared from its angelic throat; the sound deafening even with earplugs. Jason tried to move his hands to his ears, but the scream had rendered us motionless. The Watcher came closer; then grasping Jason with both hands lowered him to the ground. Almost lovingly he cradled his body, letting it slowly slide

he exclaimed, bringing his hands over her frigid cheeks. Vapor exploded out of her mouth and then she spoke. “You’re back?” she asked, the movement brows crinkled noisily as ice flew off of her face with each movement. Miles moved to wipe her forehead, but a menacing growl vibrated up his arm. He pulled back, his wrist suddenly feeling like it was on fire. “He’s very protective,” she whispered. “Destroyer, it’s him. It’s Milo. He’s back.” Miles frowned down at the white wolf, who bared his fangs and snapped at him. Drool gathered and began to drip from his gleaming teeth.

But, when I saw her panic-stricken face the only thing I felt like doing was to console her. Just then a voice sounded, “Kill her lover first, then we can take care of Eva.” No sooner had the cloaked figure commanded this than the boy lying dead on the ground got up. I couldn’t muffle the cry that erupted from my mouth. How could a dead man wake up again? That figure walked towards us but before it could even touch us a green light erupted from the Alexart and hit Edgar. It engulfed him in an orb and soon Edgar had vaporized.

"Throw this garbage out of my Bloc," Zachery roared at the royal guards. The dozen heavily armed men scrambled instantly. Two guards rushed forward and threw a thick scratchy woolen blanket directly over Frostina as she sobbed hysterically, gripping the rough fabric around her bare shoulders in humiliation.

Linking my arm through Jade’s I began pulling her along to follow the boys. “Come on, try to get there before the sun starts coming up.” We met up with the guys, which Kellan had already shifted into a large green Dragon, but while he was magnificent, it wasn’t nearly as impressive as Cyran’s Dragon. Once we were all settled on Kellan’s Dragon, luggage and all, Kellan spread his gigantic wings and flapped them a few times before taking off into the night sky.

he muttered, rubbing his temples. "Don't let him be like me. Don't let them break him." The wind stirred—a whisper against his skin, too deliberate to be chance. A warmth pooled low in his gut, sudden and undeniable. His pulse jumped. The woods felt different—charged, like the air before a storm. A twig snapped behind him. He turned—and froze. Between the trees stood a figure, tall and golden, skin glowing as if lit from within. Freyr's grin was wolfish, his gaze weighing Jack with chilling amusement.

Turned into ice sculptures mid-leap. It hit the Frost Giant. The massive machine slowed, its joints grinding, frost covering its sensors. But the effort was killing her. Jack saw cracks forming on her skin. She was becoming ice. "No!" Jack roared. He ignored the pain. He ignored the broken ribs. He ran to her. He wrapped his arms around her from behind. His burning, cursed body pressed against her freezing one. "Together," Jack whispered into her ear. "Fire and Ice." The Curse in his arm reacted to the Titan Heart. The black fire mixed with the blue light.
