Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Jakob crossed his arms and said, "Andrew, you just admitted yourself that this is a gamble. So if it's already a risk, especially one that involves sending our best people into a surprise raid, can we really just go ahead with it like it's nothing? What if we walk straight into a trap?" Andrew looked at him with undisguised contempt. "If everyone thought like you, second-guessing every move and shrinking back at the first sign of risk, nothing worth doing would ever get done.

Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

His Ex-Luna Is A Famous Doctor

In lieu of being able to ask him myself, I needed to be as certain as I could be of what he would want. Holding the book close like a treasure, I fully intended to check it out, but, deciding to wait for Cathy, to see whatever she uncovered, I sat down at one of the tables near the front of the library, and opened the book. I am a man of decision, the book began. In times of war, even a moment of hesitation could lead to a death. With good warriors under my charge, I would never risk it. “Aria?” I lifted my head up from the book and looked straight into Matt’s face.

Lessons After Dark: Shadows Between the Lines

Lessons After Dark: Shadows Between the Lines

What happens when the risk of discovery becomes the very thing you crave? Maya Rivers is not careless. She has been built from restraint, from routine, from the comfort of control. And yet the stranger who finds her in the stacks doesn’t follow her rules. He rewrites them, one by one, until she can’t tell where the boundaries end and the desire begins. He awakens the same part of her that lingered in those midnight chats, daring her to admit that she longs to be seen, watched, wanted. This book is for readers who understand that tension itself can be intimate. That the risk of being caught can tether you more tightly than any promise. That a name whispered can bind as surely as a vow. That a

he continued, as if reading from a file. My mouth went dry. “Darius,” Adrian warned. “I’m only pointing out pressure points,” Darius said. “In business, we call it risk assessment.” Risk. The same word Ms. Lerma used. The same word that turned people into problems. “You can manufacture risk,” I said quietly. Darius looked pleased. “Exactly,” he said. “And that’s why I’m here.” He leaned forward. “Your marriage has created noise. Investors don’t like noise. Partners don’t like noise. Universities—” he paused, letting it sting, “—don’t like noise.”

Divorce ME Look Who Wants Me Back Now

"The research supports full investment." "Research also shows volatility..." "Which is why we move fast." His voice went sharp. "Before we lose the opportunity." "Or we could move intelligently instead of recklessly..." "Intelligent isn't the same as terrified." The word landed like a slap. "Excuse me?" My voice dropped dangerously low. "You're letting fear drive business decisions." His eyes finally met mine, and they were absolutely stiff. "Playing it safe because you're too scared to take real risks."

Bonds By Blades

--- Alone again, Kael looked down at the book in his hands. Twin Bonds of Power. Whatever this was— It wasn’t just a connection. It was a risk. A weapon. And possibly— A weakness. Kael exhaled slowly, closing the book. “Let’s see which one it becomes.”

The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

"The risk is not zero and the system is reliable. Both of those things are true simultaneously." "And the doubt?" "The doubt wants the risk to be zero," he said. "The doubt is asking for certainty that is not available." He looked at his hands. "No one is certain. There is no version of this — of any relationship, of any committed life with another person — in which the risk is eliminated. There is only the management of the risk, and the demonstrated reliability of the management over time, and the choice to continue on the basis of the demonstrated reliability." "Yes," Dr. Farrow said.

I replied firmly before I continued "I know what to do and I’ll take advantage of what I’ve learned from the book. If you think this is too risky for us, then I’m not going to drag the name of The Black Sun with me when I negotiate with the Duke.” “What?” He asked in disbelief as he stared at her eyes full of determination. “If anything goes wrong, then all I have to sacrifice is myself for taking a stupid risk. You don’t have to worry, I have already written 3 alternative plans. I’m not a hundred percent sure it will work but it has a higher chance of succeeding than your previous antics. On the other hand, if I succeed, I would be a secret instrument that connects his plans and ours to ach

The Brutal Alpha's Mate

The Brutal Alpha's Mate

He said exhaling air out of his lungs I paused taking my hands backward while I showed my left hand in the air. "Rosa please!" He pleaded but I feigned deafness. "Rosa, I beg of you." "Okay, I'll help you look for him but I swear that he isn't under my vicinity." He added to his words. "Good."I chimed, dropping my hand. "You better figure that out before tomorrow," I said more in a warning tone before varnishing into a thin air. Somehow my mind doubted the fact that Damien was lying but he's a hardened criminal who has been on my tail, looking for ways to crush me while I always stood elevated, laughing at his stupidity.

My Bestfriend’s Billionaire Older Brother

He sets his glass down deliberately, folding his hands on the pristine white tablecloth as he leans in once more, voice dropped to a husky murmur. “Chances can be exhilarating...but also risky. One must tread carefully lest they burn bridges or strain relationships beyond repair. Especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Or so I've learned in my years.” meets Damon's intense gaze unflinchingly, a faint smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. “Oh, I'm well acquainted with risk, Damon. After all, fortune favors the bold, doesn't she?” unconsciously licks his lower lip, drawing Damon's gaze briefly. “Besides, the greatest regrets in life often stem from the chances not taken.
