Supreme Emperor of Swords

Supreme Emperor of Swords

The great loss made everyone doubt whether they could reach the end of the ancient road alive. Was it really worth it to reclaim the ancient road to the west to search for the mysterious ruins at such a heavy cost of blood and bones? And that was only the first of the 11 sections of the ancient road. After going deeper, they would experience more difficulties. By that time, all kinds of dangers would definitely increase. The geniuses of the Human and the Demon clans may be wiped out even before they reached the mysterious ruins. The Bait, The Ruin

The Bait, The Ruin

I bark the second Amos’ call connects through the car speakers. “It’s a trap!” he chokes out. A loud crash follows, then gunshots. My grip tightens around the steering wheel as I slam harder on the accelerator, speeding onto the highway and weaving between cars like a madman. The shouting and bullets coming from Amos’ end send rage boiling through my veins. My vision burns red. Every rational thought disappears. “Rain, call Quinn,” I order immediately as it hits me. The route and location guide leads to St. Martin’s Funeral Home.

Among the Quiet Ruins

Among the Quiet Ruins

No explanations. A volunteer approached with a clipboard. “You’re Melvin Walker?” He nodded. “You’re up third,” she said, smiling at Elara. “She’s adorable.” Melvin smiled back, heart pounding. This was new territory. Noah pov Portland unfolded slowly. Noah learned the rhythm of his new neighborhood. The café that remembered his order, the bookstore that stayed open late, the quiet trail by the river where he walked after work. He wasn’t rebuilding from loss. He was building from clarity.

His Brother's Ruin

His Brother's Ruin

She was learning the game, and the learning cost something. They read on. Page after page of meticulously catalogued ruin. Some names Kaelan recognized were rivals, allies, men he'd shared drinks with, women he'd danced with at palace functions. All of them living on borrowed time, their secrets written in Rourke's careful hand, waiting to be sold to the highest bidder. Then they reached the final section. The handwriting changed here less precisely, almost hurried, as if Rourke had been running out of time or patience. The entries were shorter, more cryptic. And the names...

Ruined Salvation: When Hope Becomes a Curse

Ruined Salvation: When Hope Becomes a Curse

Half a year ago, Sean Quinton had forced me to head abroad with him to the country where we'd registered our marriage. Our ship had veered off course and sunk in an uncharted area. We'd both choked on large amounts of contaminated water, leading to lung infections. Half a year later, we both lay in hospital beds and were on the brink of death. The uncharted area had turned out to be a wastewater zone—no one else had ever been there, so no one else had died because of this so-called lung infection.

One Ruined Night, One New Beginning

One Ruined Night, One New Beginning

But this time, he stared through her, his face dark with resentment. If not for her, he wouldn't have lost me. If not for her, his family wouldn't be in ruins. The butler threw her out, but Sam's phone buzzed incessantly with calls from creditors and ex-partners. In frustration, he smashed it against the floor, finally understanding what it meant to be abandoned when the chips were down. He sank to the ground, haunted by the image of me smiling on Fabio's arm outside City Hall. His heart ached, the pain suffocating.

Blood of the Black Moon

Blood of the Black Moon

He’d said little since they left the valley, though every so often she felt the weight of his gaze—checking that she still breathed, still rode, still hadn’t vanished back into the storm that had nearly claimed her. The road was little more than a scar across the wilderness. Burnt trees lined the ridges, their branches fused into glass where the Moon’s light had struck. Each time sunlight hit them, the forest shimmered like a thousand shards of mirror. Beautiful. Wrong. “Feels like we’re riding through the bones of the world,” Zevran said at last. Kaelira glanced back at him. “You always did have a way with optimism.” He grinned, though it looked tired. “Call it observation. There’s somethin

Ruined By My Brother-In-Law

Ruined By My Brother-In-Law

He drove on, unbothered, letting the road carry them forward. He signaled as they got to a break in the median and curved the car into the wide U-turn, smooth and practiced, the city briefly swinging upside down before settling them back in the opposite flow of traffic. He reached forward, tapped the screen once. The navigation screen flickered, recalculating. Her address replaced his on the display. Oh. He’d been waiting for a sanctioned way back. She suddenly felt foolish. She'd overthought everything—as always. Or maybe it was her glucose deprived, caffeine infected brain wrecking her.

This chapter came a little later than planned because I've been dealing with a very painful wisdom tooth. I've still been pushing through whenever I can, though, and I'm doing my best to keep my promise of three chapters a week. Thank you for being patient with me🤍 Now…. about that ending...

Eclipse of the Heart

Eclipse of the Heart

"They will not. There was a ruined temple on that mountain. Whoever someone you are talking about, they are the one who's going to die. If they went to the ruin as fast as they can, they can use that as a shield and deception." "I don't trust you," the Alpha growled. "Then, trust them. You know that they are strong, right? Trust their abilities and strength. They can use the ruins as a hideout, shield, and deception. It's 963km from the starting point. If you don't believe me, look at the Ruins and Heritage book page 154 and you'll see," she explained. The Alpha didn't respond so, she smiled at him, took the cup of tea, and gave it back to him. Then, she started to walk towards the door. But

A Love Forged In Ruins

A Love Forged In Ruins

For a moment, he turned his head, scanning the dark edges of the property. Damian could almost swear those cold eyes met his. Then the SUV pulled away, its tires hissing against the wet asphalt, swallowed by the rain and flashing lights. The mansion stood in ruins behind them, the empire’s heart ripped out in one night. Damian spoke into his mic, his voice low. “Good work. Sweep every inch. No one leaves, not even the rats.” “Copy that,” came Cole’s reply. And as the last van rolled away, Damian finally let the binoculars drop to his chest.

Yessss, love the drama in this book, I'm still reading and can't get enough of it! The family dynamic is dramatic and aggravating and that’s what makes this sooooo good. I don't think there's anyone more shameless than Layla’s mom. That woman annoys me!!!
Scarlett Rain
At first, I thought it was a typical revenge story, but the more I read, the more I grasped the complexity of the characters that were well described. It makes me more curious about Layla, a woman who is trying to figure out the scheme she finds herself in, and Damien, a man clouded in mysteries.
