Road To Valhalla Novels & Stories

"We've all heard that one before." "Thanks for explaining the way the Imperium works. I think we have a what we need for now. What can you tell me about the best way to get to Orar." "Not much until I get a detailed map. There are generally two roads. The long road goes through a system called Anvil 206. The system is heavily fortified and is a frontline in the struggle against the Ork menace. I can go deeper on that subject later. The shorter and faster route is the 'Orar passage'. It is a direct route, practically a straight line towards the system. However it brings us very close to the GrailDark Nebula which hides mainly Chaos Raiders and Eldar Corsairs. Orks will be present in that area

His touch was again warm. “What the hell?” He yelled. “I—the forest is scary.” I stuttered. “Learn how to walk!” He gruffly said and let me go. “And stay away from me.” Kent sped walked the rest of the way, and I tried keeping up. Till finally, the trees became thinner, and plain grassy land came into view. We didn’t walk far before we ran into the river. “I usually transform to get through the river, we are going to have to walk on the mountains to the right here—that’s going to add another two hours.” Kent exhaled. He sounded exhausted. Ditto buddy!

Moore, switch to route 3. At this moment, everyone outside laughed. Road 3 is the shortest way to the destination, but it is the most difficult because it has to go through the "thorn forest" - the territory of giant thorns and flying rocks, now Eron If you change direction, princess Irina just keeps flying on the old route, victory will surely be in her hands, and Eron has a broken body with giant thorn bushes. In the distance on the seat of honor, Adalwen was sitting with another young man.

Right now, right at the moment when clear thinking was needed. Perhaps this is how they start to go crazy? I saw double, jumped from the distant cloudless sky to the deformed wasteland of the Valley, then to the forest, to the endless line of the dead, continuing to advance from Tinasa and again to the strip of mountains framing the black, ash-like earth, split by faults. A wide road ran along the edge of the Valley, dust was raised by the hooves of horses. A long file of horsemen trotted out from behind the hills, all in battle armor, well-armed, all but three riding in front.

Mara Solis had Stormfang, one of the strongest military territories. And me? I had hungry people and optimism. But there was something interesting about Shadowvale… Its location. Three major trade routes crossed our territory. Everyone transporting goods between the northern and southern packs had to either travel through Shadowvale or take a route nearly four times longer through the mountains. “Oh, so they missed this, I guess,” I said, and Xela perked up after hearing my words. “What is it, Vera? Tell me?” I slowly smiled. “We aren't poor.”

Three years after my release from prison, I ran into my ex-wife in the presidential suite of the most exclusive hotel in Bayshore. It had been years since I last saw her. She was draped in a silk robe, radiating wealth. When she recognized me, something unreadable passed through Cecily Monroe's eyes. "On the day you got out, why didn't you wait for me to come pick you up?" I said nothing and handed over the takeout. Her gaze dropped to the scar on my wrist, and her breath caught. "I went too far with that. But you've always been tougher than Adrian. You can always get back on your feet." She was talking about what happened six years ago, when Adrian Burke was involved in a catastrophic

"Whatever it takes." Kael, silent in the back seat for most of the frantic drive, finally spoke, his voice low and steady despite the tension radiating off him in waves. "I know a shortcut. Not through the main roads. There's an old trail through the eastern hills, steep and rough, but it cuts nearly two hours off the standard route. I remember it from training exercises at the Keep. Hale's people used it more than once when speed mattered more than comfort." Damian glanced at him in the rearview mirror, a flicker of surprise crossing his face before hardening into resolve. "Can you guide us."

“Those fools.” Up ahead, a massive bridge looms over an ocean; the traffic on the bridge is light, but Valen doesn't stay in the lanes; instead, he accelerates, the speedometer needle flying above its limit. They are practically flying. “Valen! Slow down, there's a barrier!” Ilya screams, his heart hammering against his cracked ribs. Fuck. The alpha is going to get them killed. Ilya turns his head to see their chasers are right on their bumper, trying to ram them from behind. Ilya looks at Valen to see an unhinged smile on his face.

"Ms. Hathaway, I'll be going overseas for further studies next month. Here is my resignation letter." The HR manager, Kelly Hathaway, looked at me in surprise. "What's with the sudden notice?" she asked. I gave her the explanation I'd prepared long ago. "My son's mother is in Austera. I'm planning to take him there so we can be reunited as a family." Kelly nodded. "That's good. It must be hard for you to raise a child alone here. We all thought you were a single father."

Tristan murmured, the gears of his tactical mind beginning to turn, grinding away the despair. He walked over to the large map table in the center of the room, sweeping the clutter of teacups and papers onto the floor. He unrolled a topographical map of the Eastern Provinces. "Look here," Tristan pointed to a jagged, elevated ridge that bordered the Valorian Plains. "The Emperor's Highway. It runs parallel to the plains, elevated by thirty feet. It was built to transport heavy mining equipment." "It's wide enough for the *Mammoth*," Helena noted, leaning over the map.
