Submitting To The Devil - The Devil's Snare - Book Two

Submitting To The Devil - The Devil's Snare - Book Two

Niko As I survey the room, I notice three distinct doors, each providing access in and out of this space. The first door, positioned at the back, swings open to reveal a cramped area filled with storage cupboards. Among the clutter, I spot an elderly woman nestled among the shadows, her presence almost hidden. She exudes an air of gentle vulnerability, with silver strands framing her soft, weathered face. Though her age marks her features, she radiates a sense of inherent harmlessness, as if shaped by years of quiet resilience.

The Vengeful Luna of Shadow

The Vengeful Luna of Shadow

All seemed to be locked except one. "On it!" He said as I turned the doorknob and the door slowly creaked open. The smell of dust welcomed me as I entered the room. It was empty apart from the few broken pieces of furniture piled up in a corner. The room had no windows, so it was dark, but Blaze made it easier for me to see in the darkness. My roaming eyes found another silver door, bolted shut with a keypad. Placing my hands on it, I tried to break open the door but it was made from silver and was at least 6 inches thick. It wouldn't budge. I knew I had to crack the code.

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

In the very center of the concrete floor sat the entrance to the subterranean vault: a heavy, sloping steel ramp leading down to a massive, circular blast door that looked like it belonged on a nuclear submarine. Beside the door was a heavy biometric scanning terminal, its red LED screen blinking lazily in the dark. ACCESS DENIED. DUAL-COMMAND OVERRIDE REQUIRED. "Class-A titanium-tungsten alloy," Jabari muttered, running a hand over the cold, flawless surface of the blast door. "Two feet thick. Even with my armor, punching this would be like punching a mountain. We can't break it." "We don't need to break it," Baraka said, stepping up to the massive circular door. "We just need to change the

Dear Ex Husband Wants Me Back

Dear Ex Husband Wants Me Back

--- The structure was old. Stone blocks, covered in moss and dirt. A metal door, rusted shut. No handles. No keypad. Just smooth, red-brown metal. Kai pushed against it. Nothing. Astra tried to freeze the edges, make the metal contract. Nothing. Wren looked at the cracks around the door. "There's no way in." "There's always a way," I said. I touched the door. The key grew warm. Then hot. The metal began to glow—red, then orange, then white. It melted. Dripped. A hole opened, just big enough for a person.

Rogue's Omega

Rogue's Omega

"This one's been trying to get out for a very long time." Rook was already working on the blast door. His lockpicks were useless against the silver-reinforced steel, but he had brought charges, small ones designed to break seals without collapsing tunnels. "Give me ten minutes. This door is older than the Frostborn's fortress, but the mechanism is the same. Corvus used standard patterns."

Rebirth of the Luckiest Failure

Rebirth of the Luckiest Failure

The walls of the corridor exhibit a pulsing rhythm aligned with the Core's activity, contributing to a faint vibration felt underfoot. Finally, Kael reaches the end of the corridor, where he encounters a pair of stone doors with intricate carvings that appear ancient and layered, indicating that multiple artisans over different periods contributed to the designs. A warm amber light seeped through the cracks of the door frame. The doors have no handles, no visible mechanism to open them, and no response to touch or pressure in the usual way. As he stands in front of the doors, the sound of distant screeches grows closer, prompting him to place both hands flat against the surface of the doors.

Throne of Ash and Amethyst

Throne of Ash and Amethyst

“No maker.” Emmy placed her amethyst key against the trunk. “Give the chains to the people.” The tree shook. HOW? “Doors.” The branches erupted. Across the world, keys began glowing. Every person with a bond received a door. Not a command. A question. Emmy felt hers appear behind her. She turned. Ignisvath’s stood beside it. Two doors. Not one. Separate. She smiled. He did too. “Ready?” “No,” he said.

Iridian

"Sometimes I just change on my own, can't always help it." "It's--it's alright." I exhaled slowly, waiting until the trembling in my hands finally ceased. I gave myself a weak wave and turned away. "Also, thank you but I'm not interested in purchasing a door." "The door is not for purchase, it's to go through!" My bow tie wearing clone shouted, making me hesitate for the second time. "My doors can take you anywhere you need to go, for a price."

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Opening the Door

Opening the Door

Every place took its own space and would fit together when needed. As she contemplated everything that she needed to. The doorbell rang, and she went to the door. Her brother was standing there with a box in his hands. “This is a short-range one, but it works better and won’t affect cell phones or Wi-Fi.” He pressed the button, and the lights dimmed for a second, and then he did it again when everything had reset. “Just to be sure.”

Rain's Rebellion

Rain's Rebellion

They were tapping on the keypad but nothing was happening. “Let’s go!” someone shouted. They headed down a hall lined with doors, all of them closed, but there were no keypads outside of any of them. “Where are we?” Rain asked. “What’s behind these doors, Adams?” “These are our compartments,” he said. “I mean… the Dicks’ rooms. They’re all locked from the outside with keys that only the Mothers have.” “So how can we get into any of them?” Seth asked. “We can’t get in this way, but down this hall, we will probably come to another entrance with a keypad.” His voice was strained as he struggled to walk with the weight of the injured man leaning on him.
