Rogue X Gambit Novels & Stories

My heart is pounding in my ears and I can't even hear my own thoughts clearly. This was a bad idea. A bad idea. "Hunt," I said softly, rubbing my thumb against his hand. "I don't know what to say," he said. "So now you're with the rogues and you believe everything they say." "Hunt, I think they can help me. I'm not saying I believe them. They said they aren't the only rogues in the area. They just stuck together because they are hybrid and they've been kicked out from their old packs."

As he screams out, I drive the dagger into his chest and he falls to the ground. In general, rogues are weaker than wolves that belong to a pack. They don't have the strength that comes from the unity of being in a pack. Wolves are social creatures, and their wolves weaken significantly without that bond to an Alpha. Many rogues are on their own for years before they join other rogues, so they weaken a great deal. However, just because these rogues are weaker, they have the upper hand right now. With just four more to go, I can feel my body becoming sluggish. All my energy sources have been depleted in the last five weeks and I'm just running on pure adrenaline at this point.

I need to baby that leg, if I get pushed on it it will give out again and I am at risk if two rogues are over me when fighting. As I continue moving back and forth waiting for them to make the first move, the first rogue runs at me swiping at my front paw. He catches it tearing the skin. As he flies by I catch his neck and slam him to the ground. As the other rogue jumps again on my back, I finish the first rogue off by clawing his stomach; his intestines pour out. He can’t survive that attack and is quickly dying.

" Liam grunted, swiping his hands in the air and ripping out a witch's throat. "James is on that side too," Garrett added, striking a deadly blow. "I noticed that with each spot we destroy, the smaller the number of rogues. Liam wasn't listening. He could feel Nicole's presence, but he couldn't see her. The air crackled with energy as spells clashed with werewolf claws, the explosive impact causing shockwaves that reverberated through the battleground. Flames danced upon the earth, ignited by powerful fire spells, casting flickering shadows on the faces of warriors locked in mortal combat.

Yet, who would have anticipated their meeting in such an alliance? According to the memory cocktail, the Gambler didn’t do too much during the battle royale. He was mostly an observer and didn’t do much during the hunt. Sure, occasionally he would use the luck from dead people to trigger some in-game catastrophe like landslides but he never directly killed anyone. Yet, the body count under his name in the first battle royale put him at rank #60. How scary... Zen was a little cautious about this man because his abilities could inconvenience even the three terrors. This man was a double-edged sword to them, and Zen decided to keep an eye on him for now.

I notice a warrior who has three rogues on him. I race over and rip a rogue off the warrior who is already wounded. The rogue I tore off him had been going for the death bite. He caught some of the warrior’s skin tearing it off with him. I jump on the back of the rogue and bite his neck, ripping out his throat in the process.

There couldn’t be anyone living in it. “Garrett?” I sent a mind link to my brother. “Are you following Alpha Axel?” “No, we’re not. We’re following the person who’s been watching the house for a while now. A man I don’t recognize, Rogue. What did he do to have that much money?” “What do you mean?” I asked, not understanding. Which Rogue has the wealth of an Alpha? How could he have that much money as a reward? Why didn’t he conquer and take over a pack with that much money? Ah, could it be that the competition’s organizer was also Scarlett Sky’s invader?

Once her eyes refocused, she turned to Luca. “It was Gaby. Vex is at it again. The Hoh Forest Pack warriors attacked a young rogue, but the attack was interrupted by the Rogue Gamma. He chased them away and helped the rogue back to the village. He is with Gaby now.” “We should send Duncan.” “No, he is not familiar with the rogues in the village. We also don’t know how this Gamma will react towards pack warriors since he just watched a bunch of them attacking a young rogue.” “So you want him to slip through our fingers again?”

Seven threateningly huge Rogues had walked into the camp and they were walking straight to my warriors. They looked like the seven Rogue leaders I had described before and they radiated strength with their every stride. But they didn’t scare me. Size didn’t matter in the Werewolf games. I looked back at the Chicken Rogue and he was still smiling. “Look.” He directed my gaze back to the seven muscly Rogues. Two of my warriors were dashing towards the Rogues now but then one of the Rogues caught them and within some dreadful seconds, my warriors were thrown stiffly to the ground, blood-stained, bones fractured and maimed.
