I get paid each time I fight and the best part of the deal is, I get to hit as many people as I want without worrying about any rules. That was how I found myself working for Rocky. I flinched as a gun went off and the one running out onto the rooftop dropped as if they had been hit. A few people came out onto the same roof. They were dressed similar to the way the security team was... I flinched as they picked the guy up by his feet and took him to the edge of the roof and hung him over the edge.

“The roof!” I hesitated, my eyes on Liam as he fought, his movements fierce, relentless. I couldn’t leave him, not after everything. But Claire was right—we were out of time. I climbed, my hands slipping on the rusted rungs, my heart tearing as I heard Liam’s shout behind me. The roof was a chaos of rain and wind, the city sprawling below like a glittering trap.
