“Have fun tonight. If, we can do it.” The manager took us into the building through the secret passage. And to be honest, a lot of things have changed. Or maybe the last time I visited, I was wearing a mask, and my heart was distracted then, so I didn't realize the difference in the interior and vibe at the Arena. Inside, there was a nice restaurant and café. The floor of the Arena is mostly covered with marble ceramics, and the edges are covered with soft grass. The three of us entered the VVIP booth, which was already full of people with their attention lowered to the center ring. They are waiting for the empty ring to be soon filled with their champion.

Rivers moved like living things, armies waited for whoever was going to be their general and give them orders.

Hold the ring for 8 seconds and it will turn red, signifying a violation strike— if you get three of those, you're out for the rest of the game. Now, the arena is an oval field that is nearly 100 meters long and about 50 meters wide. At the bottom of the arena is an insanely large net that catches the players if ever they fall, sometimes because their airkicks messed up or they are accidentally knocked off by another player. The arena is surrounded by a thick bulletproof glass that acts as a barrier for both the players and the audience so nothing gets in nor out as the game plays on.

Something was not right, but they had to keep going. “There!” Arth pointed at the open circular arena from a far distance ahead. It was almost the same as the arena in the Lower Ring, but the color and elegant designs here had showed the difference. Tall pillars stood, surrounding the arena, and the grand stand including the center stage were much bigger. They slowed down when they spotted a group of people at the center of the stage. Arth narrowed his eyes to have a clearer vision amidst the darkness of night. “It’s them,” Robert said.

“So, you figured it out. Maybe you’re not as dumb as you look.” I ignore his comment and shift back. “So, they contacted you about this place?” I ask instead. “Yeah. They said it’s bad. Looks like they weren’t exaggerating.” I turn back, and nod at the rim of the arena. “Four harpoon launchers.” “Actually, there are eight. I flew overhead for awhile taking it all in. I’m just here to get a better understanding of how they are running the place.” He turns and looks at me. “You and your pack should sit this one out.”

“I feel sick. I don't want to get up?” “Yes. Please move to the arena at this time.” The Coliaran walked away to the next unopened room. Sure enough, the other contestants were walking down the hall towards one of the larger arenas. Rainer released his stomach and joined the moving traffic next to a large rock-like and humanoid creature. It smelled like a dirty hamper but Rainer knew better than to say something. The arena was impressively large. A glass dome protected the audience, while sealing in the contestants. Dirt on the ground was rusted, and looked like it was made from crushed bits of metal.

" We break into a light pace as we burst through the door and into the corridors, Macy squealing again. I carry her about halfway before I had to stop and allow her take over the directions. She smiles and leads me down many hallways until we come to a specific archway. People are leaking in and out of it, soaking up the light from outside, and we just follow along mindlessly. The arena is enormous; it's a big, circular building that makes me think of the old Colosseums that are all over the world. Its walls reach high into the sky, and rows of seats descend level by level until they reach the dirt pit that is about two meters below us. Inside the walls surrounding the pit are four archways

Meanwhile, there were two men on either side of him. A middle-aged man on the left, and an old man on the right. The room was huge and luxurious. Furthermore, it was located in the uppermost part of the circular arena. From here, one could see the entire arena from the huge window. This could be described as the best seat in the arena. Even if there were deafening roars and shouts outside, the room remained quiet without a single noise. When the trio watching the battle heard the door opening, they did not turn around.

Chapter 19 Sam’s POV I thought the tournaments would be held at the same spot as the training grounds, but boy was I wrong. I get it now; why they choose this location it’s obvious. I’m standing in front of a massive arena; it could easily be said to be a gladiator arena from the Roman empire, except for the fact that this is not old at all; it’s a modern construction. The building is enormous. It could easily contain 10 000 people, and as we ascend the stairs, I can tell by the view that the structure is not round around a green area; instead, it’s lines of constructions facing each other with open access to both east and west.
