He instructed and we followed. Rosie had sun-kissed blonde hair with delicate waves that touched her waist, exquisite features and piercing ruby-red orbs that blinked back sleepiness. She wore a white dress that stopped above her knees, patterned spirals flowing the rest of the way, down to her ballet flats. She continuously yawned that I’m surprised she managed to stay upright. I remember reading in one of the books that sleepy fairies are a result of them being away from their home, specifically the fairies that live in flowers.

Giant, deep red, glowing roses. I thrashed, trying to pull myself up, but the damn things had a grip like iron. Every time I moved an inch, they sprawled higher, coiling tighter, dragging me deeper into their grasp. Their petals looked soft, almost beautiful—until I saw the teeth hidden beneath them, snapping dangerously close to my skin. "That woman said the fae world isn't a joke!" I growled, struggling harder. "But she failed to mention the motherfucking sea of carnivorous roses!"

"Mum, you look weird." "Thank you, Maple." "Are you sick?" Rosy looked up from her drawing, her eyes moving over me. "You're all pale." "I'm fine. Show me what you're working on." Rosy held up a drawing of what appeared to be three people in a garden. I asked who they were and she pointed at each one without hesitation — me, her, Maple — and then pointed to a fourth, smaller shape near the edge of the paper that I hadn't noticed. "That's the man from my dream," she said simply, and went back to drawing.

"Roses are like you and Ruby like. Ruby with red roses and Rose with white roses." Ryan looked at the beautiful rose in Rose's hand.

My hair is up in a high ponytail, and I only put some eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss today. Rose is wearing green long-sleeve bodycon dress and some silver sandals.
