It earned another grin from him. “I was just merely looking at your unblemished skin. How the hell does someone your age have skin as smooth and flawless as this one?” I said to salvage myself. He smiled. “My mother’s side has clear skin. I think it’s in their genes. Even when they grew old, their skin remained unblemished. Unlike my father’s side which has acne and birth marks. Thankfully, my mother’s side was stronger when it came to skin.” It brought a smile to my face, which erupted into laughter. Cassius smiled widely, looking satisfied with himself.
