I look at it and it was indeed a forsaken bite. Their bites are extremely venomous and can kill even adult wolves in a matter of minutes, even alphas. You can tell the difference between the bites in human form because the skin started to decay. My heart drops. Forsaken wounds were impossible to cure, even if you were an alpha or alpha heir. "Yes... I met her in my dream. She said, she used a dream world to communicate with me." Alexis explained. "Why did she do that? She's not going to do that unless, something is really happening." Moonfall is burning. Not with fire—with failure. The wards that once wrapped the kingdom like a second skin are gone. Not cracked. Not weakened. Gone. Protective sigils lie dead in the streets, carved lines blackened and useless. Towers meant to amplify magic stand hollow, their cores ripped out like hearts torn from living things.

The night was unnaturally quiet. Eldermoor’s ruins stretched around them, bathed in the silver glow of the twin moons. Crumbling walls stood like gravestones, remnants of a kingdom long forgotten. The air was thick with dust and the faint scent of damp stone, but the suffocating presence from below had not followed them. Not yet.

Hundreds of rogues filled the clearing before the Moon Palace, the impossible structure Aria had created still gleaming in the morning light. Garrett waited near the palace steps, Kira already beside him. I took my place next to them, forcing a smile. Raven stepped forward, raising his hands for silence. "Rogues of the Northern Timberlands," he began. "We stand here this morning in a place that didn't exist two days ago. A palace built by our queen's power. Caitlyn’s POV The Moonborn Ruins were not what I expected. I had imagined crumbling stone walls, vines reclaiming ancient structures, a place long forgotten by time. But what lay before me was something else entirely. The ruins still stood, eerily intact, their stone foundations gleaming under the silver moonlight. The air hummed with power, charged with something ancient and restless, as if the past itself had been preserved here, waiting for someone to unravel its secrets.
