You are in the living room of the apartment watching a movie, when you heard the sounds of footsteps in the door, which indicated that the boys had arrived.

This time, it was a gloomy house, lit only by a teplok (a lamp with a wick that uses fuel oil). Ajeng looked around. It was like a ghost town. The houses looked empty and there was no light at all, except for one house in front of her. Her feet stepped into the house out of curiosity. "Dimas?" Ajeng was surprised to find the man sitting on the brick floor in shabby clothes. Just like Ella earlier. Dimas turned his head, his face looking so gloomy. It was heartbreaking to see her ex-husband like this. "Are you okay?" she asked.

I found myself almost fidgeting but stopped just in time. We got to his apartment, which was quiet. It was dark, but I could make out a few buildings nearby. He pulled my suitcase from the trunk and walked to the door, pushing it open. I followed behind slowly, shutting the door behind me. I looked around. It was a decent space, though his choice of colors was… concerning. “This is the guest room,” he called out. My eyes snapped to him. He stood in front of a door, green eyes appraising me.

Emanuele is home. Not at Alexandra's, in a comfortable apartment with neutral colors and fancy pictures on the walls. But that house. That damn house. She can hardly breathe when she sees the details that always made her want to run away: the low ceiling with the leaks. The buckets scattered around to contain the excess water. The double-paned window locked from the outside. And the old wooden door that creaked terribly when opened. And that was exactly what was happening at that moment. The noise made the hairs on the back of Emanuele's neck stand on end, but not as much as the demonic figure that entered the room.

A man yelled . " Coming" James said as he left the room as mom sighed in relief. Who are these men? Who's James? "Li..listen to me carefully, some men broke into the house they have guns and they are dangerous,you have to hide with your sister in your closet there's a secret door there they won't get to you as long as you stay there...I want to go see if I can see your dad or call for help,there's no signal in the rooms except for the living room…" Mum's voice trembled as she paused.

Dimas was obviously dissatisfied with the remark ‘owner's boyfriend’. He raised an eyebrow and corrected Titus, “Change it to ‘family member’.” Titus nodded vigorously, resembling a chick pecking at grains as he replied, “Yes, yes, that’s a good title. It’s simple and direct and can be described in two simple words.” Dimas responded, closed the villa door, and walked back to Harmonia with the ointment. “The property manager came to inquire about the power supply,” Dimas explained concisely.

After a few minutes, she frowns delicately. “Not quite right for you,” she says. “But best of luck, dears.” We exit back into the sunlight, laughing softly. “One down,” Seth mutters. “And immediately rejected.” The second apartment is a townhouse a few blocks away, cream-colored with slanted ceilings and a faint smell of lavender and old wood. The landlord greets us with a broad smile, oblivious to our inside jokes. He drones on about the noisy neighbors upstairs who “practically lives in drums” and the furnace that “sings at night.” Seth and I exchange a glance definitely not the one.

She must have forgotten to close it after finishing up her homework which also explained why her room was somewhat cold. Her sock cladded feet moved towards the window to shut it when she saw the apartment caretaker talking to some random guy. "Must be someone looking for an apartment." she thought. Speaking about roommates, she was supposed to meet with hers by 3 p.m today at the Black Winx cafe before they head back to the apartment together. Apparently, she had put it on the rent-an-appart app and a couple of minutes later, she had received a couple of notifications from different interested people but one person stood out.

I asked curiously. "Welcome to the storage room where all the furniture and various things Madam Amelia doesn't like but refuses to let someone drive out to a dump. She continues to load up this room as new furniture is shipped in from who-knows-where." Oh, that's nice. I wondered if she let anyone leave the mansion, aside my from parents possible assassin, that is. And without a computer or a phone, how did she get things shipped in? "Oh, what do we have to do here?" I asked after a brief coughing fit from inhaling the smoke.

We are practically living together. For me, it is to save some penny because I’m on my rocks right now, which I'm still waiting ‘til next week for my allowance from the scholarship. I’m lucky enough to be chosen to the grant, they give a good keeps. And for him, he got some monster in his house to stay away from. I offered him to stay with me, but we have to split the payment. Fortunately, he agreed to stay on a one queen sized bed, tiny dinky kitchen, clean bathroom and my aesthetic living room. P*******t definitely knows it’s assignment.
