Jack stepped out and opened my door for me to get out. "Jack, where are we?" I asked him, looking in awe at the beautiful mansion. "Home," he said, flashing me with his panty-drop smile. I gasped in surprise. He explained to me he had already bought this house as my birthday gift but before he could give me all the things that happened. I was a little shocked and happy at the same time. That manga already bought two houses for me.

"Come in, come in." Once I was inside, I realized it was a duplex setup. Victoria had only the bottom floor. She opened the inner door and we walked down the hall to a living room area. The inside of the house was also very traditionally Japanese: tatami floors, very minimalist, what little furniture there was, was very low to the ground. There were no chairs, just a low-rise sofa along the wall and the occasional cushion on the ground. There were two other people in the living room, sitting on the floor next to a coffee table, a guy and girl. The guy looked to be of Middle Eastern descent; he had short black hair and a lean muscular build. He was wearing a t-shirt and cargo shorts (just lik

There's a car waiting for him, we ride the car and went to their house. Not like the Costas Mansion, their house look a lot like a Traditional Japanese house. What do you call that? Tatami or something like that. They even have a pond full of coy fish and a big garden with different types of plants. I'm here just to see Lami, nothing more. "Okaeri, waka." I was surprised by their servants who spoke Japanese just now. "Are you perhaps, a Japanese?" I asked as we enter their home. Another servant came and took our bags. This is making me feel awkward.

I said while glancing at the kids behind. "Don't look for excuses! They're sleeping, really!" he teased me. He withdrew my hand and grip it. His smile widened, as he muttered faintly as he said, “Finally….” "Mas Suma, the house in front and slightly above is my house!" My house, typical village house. Joglo house (Javanese wooden traditional house) with several carvings as accents. There are two joglos and one wood limas house. The first joglo is for the living room, the second joglo is for the family area including the bedroom and limas house specifically for the dining area and kitchen.

As Samson looked at it, he was once again reminded of how much it resembled a traditional Japanese home with its paper screen doors, black-tiled roof and wooden walls and flooring. As Samson went to go inside something caught his eye. A child swinging her legs as she fumbled with a rubik’s cube. Samson quietly kneeled next to her, asking for the cube before showing her how to solve it. As he did, a glow developed on her face as the process allowed the colors to match. After finishing it Samson handed it back, receiving the tiniest bear hug possible. With a nod he held her before getting up and walking to Lola at the door.

He simply didn’t dare to lie to the duo. About two hours later, they arrived at a bungalow in a relatively remote area. To be precise, this building was not exactly a villa. This type of single-storey wooden house was common in Japan. Because of the frequent earthquakes, the buildings here weren’t built that high. The price of the land wasn’t that pricey either, so many residents had built themselves a single-storey wooden house. It was almost midnight. The trio parked the car by the roadside, then took a glimpse into the house from outside. None of the lights were on inside the house. Its inhabitants must have fallen asleep by now.

he said, and I nodded once. I looked around me and there were several Minka houses lit with glittering light but all of them were built on water which made them look as if they were floating but they were all fixed. They were connected to one another by fixed timber bridges, beautiful, symmetrical and a bliss of perfection to the eyes. Those houses looked like the work of pure art and the style they were built in was found only in Jiyushu. I was standing on the land of the kazumis, Hikari’s territory — Jiyushu.

It’s even more surprising that he opens the gate by pushing some blocks of wood like a combination code lock. “Dojo? Is that where people practice martial arts or something?” “Yes.” Entering is like passing into another world. The open gate reveals one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. On the vast land in front of us stands a Minka: a house in handcrafted natural wood with a triangular roof and cherry blossom trees around it. Finding it is like traveling to early Japanese civilization. Brandon walks in first through the house's largest entrance, and an old woman in a kimono appears at the doorstep. She doesn’t look Japanese at all.

she muttered and looked at her front. The car went silent the whole time. Until they arrived at one of Mariko's houses in Japan, she even inherited it from her clan. The house has an old design, and it is like the traditional houses in Japan. The surroundings are spacious, and they fill the gardens with beautiful flowers.

When he thought of this, he said, “I’ll be back in a few minutes. Wait for me.” After ending the call, Machi massaged his aching temples in exhaustion. Tokyo had been so chaotic since yesterday that his entire body was a bit tensed and jittery. Ten minutes later, Machi returned to his villa. The biggest difference between Japan and Oskia in the modern days was that many houses were not built by developers but by homeowners themselves. Much like in Oskia a few decades ago, the citizens, no matter rich or poor, bought land and built their own houses. Therefore, the concept of neighborhoods, communities, and apartment complexes rarely existed in Japan.
