I hand't even realized I had fallen asleep on Cody's shoulder. He quirked an eyebrow, smiling down at me, "Morning, sleepyhead. You gonna get the door?" I grinned as is stood up and headed to the door while rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I yawned as I pulled the door open before freezing in spot. "Zac?" He smiled a little, "Hey, Bloom." He adjusted his bag straps on his shoulders. "You up for tutoring? Apparently we're all going to Jade's after school tomorrow so I figured we could study right now."

I swallowed, the words coming out steadier than I felt. “It’s nothing, Clover.” “This is nothing. Who hit you? Don’t tell me Wren did!” My silence answered enough. Clover’s face darkened instantly, her posture shifting like a storm cloud rolling in. Her hands curled into fists at her sides, and before I could stop her she took a step toward the open door of Wren’s room, clearly intending to march straight in and confront them. Briggs moved with calm precision, his hand lifting just enough to block her path without touching her.

An oversized tan blazer covers just enough. She’s wearing tan and cream low quarter gym shoes. My chest tightens. Her hair is down, soft curls framing her face. Makeup flawless. Absolutely gorgeous. Bridget guides her to the chair. Clover hands her a notepad, then Bridget sits beside her. I can barely breathe. “Okay, sir,” Bridget says. “We’re ready whenever you are.”

‘She doesn’t know who we are,’ Clover whimpers, pulling at her lavender colored hair, showing more fear than I’ve ever seen in her. “I’m right here Raven, I’m not leaving you,” I whisper, trying to calm her down, wishing I knew how to take her pain. ‘Gideon, like with Gideon… sink your claws into her to drain her she’s full of power and life!’ Clover squeals almost happily, as I look over at her watching her dance around the bodies. “Clover now is not the time!” I growl at her, trying to understand how she could be happy when everything has gone straight to hell so fast.

The group quickly got tangled up in a fight. These were the same people who complained nonstop about how exhausting their jobs were, yet now they fought as if they had taken some kind of stimulant. Clover was the most ferocious of them all. Despite being a woman, she had trained at a sports academy and later worked as a guide. She took down several people in no time. Outnumbered, she was injured as well. Just as she started walking toward me, Elliot rushed out and smashed a rock into her head.

Clover put her hands onto Lucas' left shoulder. Then her look spikes through me. I averted my look. "Oh hey, Clove. Yep, I'm here with—" "The newbies, of course." There is an offensive tone in her voice. I looked at Stacey, and saw her brows arched. Lucas cleared his throat before answering. "Join us." Lucas' offered to Clover, but she and her friends just laughed. "And be seen with these newbies? I don't think so." She flipped her long wavy brunette hair and smirked. Then Clover and her friends turned their backs and left, the sound of their heels echoed in the room.
