She had full of flaws, yet she was also strong and driven. She was completely the Harry Bloom I knew, and she did a good job in making Sindy a heroine in the story.

When I do, I see that someone is being dragged by the current. “Cipher or Siren?” I ask, knowing the three who have been on the squad for years are strong enough to make it. “Cipher. Raptor has Siren,” she says, pointing to the screen where I see him dragging her across. “How far out, Wendy,” I say, rushing to the supply box in the van.

His presence was commanding, but his smile was warm and genuine. “I’m Bryon,” he said, offering his hand. I shook it hesitantly, acutely aware of how many people were watching. “That was impressive,” he said, his voice low enough that only I could hear. “The way you handled the maze—it wasn’t just about skill.
