Rayne smiled at her. "You can call me Eve or Lyn, whatever you like," Evelyn told her as we all made our way to the plane. "I love private jets!" And that voice belonged to nobody else but Olivia. "Hey! Include me in your conversation! Don't leave me with all these men," Olivia whined as she walked over to Rayne and Evelyn, making them laugh. "Weren't you the one who insisted on riding with Roland?" Rayne smirked at her, causing Olivia to smack her arm playfully. Did Olivia like Roland? Who was I kidding? Both of them liked the other and I was just being in denial.

She patted it once, twice, confirming its presence through the fabric. A sigh escaped her lips, long and shaky, as relief washed over her tense frame. "This little thing... it's going to fix everything," she mumbled to herself under her breath, her voice barely audible over the distant rumble of an approaching train. "Bills paid, Max out of that bed, us together—no more scraping by. Just have to get it to Anastasia today." Ryan gripped the steering wheel of his sleek black sedan, idling at a red light in the shadow of towering city buildings. His jaw tightened as he pulled out his phone, thumbing through contacts until Logan's name appeared—he'd assigned the private investigator to shadow Da

Box trucks, mostly, running supplies to the network of rural islands off the western coast of Crescent Falls. Ryan gets out of the truck with a groan. I follow him upstairs to the deck where we drink coffee and watch the fog roll out to sea. It’s still morning, close to 10:00 AM, but the sun has barely risen over the watery horizon when the ferry makes its first stop. Ryan crosses his arms as he looks over the railing, watching the trucks disembark. “This is about Sasha, isn’t it?” I nod. I’m thankful Ryan rarely asks questions about my motives for anything. He’s always along for the ride.

I turned to the man, he was just smiling as he stood there and he later sat back down in other to enjoy the show. Ryan continued running with me and I was getting tired, "I'm tired, Ryan. Stop!" He stopped immediately and when I was gasping for breath, he scooped me in his arms and began to run again and I wondered why he was running. It was when we got to the train station that I knew why. He wanted to catch up with the last train for that morning and we were late because the last passenger for the day was entering already. "Hey!" Ryan called out and I was just staring at him. He was gasping for breath and the sweat on his face was doing a lot of things in making him look more handsome.

The heavy armored door of the Nightfall SUV didn’t just shut; it sealed like a coffin lid, and the twelve minutes Ryan had promised were already bleeding away into the gray Northern mist. The engine roared beneath us—a low, rhythmic grinding that felt like a misaligned heartbeat against the soles of my boots. Ryan was in the driver’s seat, his knuckles a stark, bloodless white on the leather steering wheel. In the rearview mirror, his amber eyes were clinical, tracking the biometric lag of the boy sitting behind him. He wasn't just driving a car; he was piloting a mobile cage.

I look at him for a split second, and I nod. “I have some names. I need you to find them.” I speak to my brother as we pull up to the train station. I’m out before the SUV comes to a complete stop. I run into the terminal, and Kanji and Chelsea are right behind me. I see Ryne headed towards the tracks. ‘She is on the Prince Rupert train. It’s pulling off now!’ Ryne mind-links me.

In front of the white, majestic Claretam's AB Tower... Special AB Trainee Ravyn was welcomed by the people of the Operation Center. However, whether out of anger or even jealousy, outside the wall were a number of Erios' extremist fans holding placards in protest to chase her away. Ravyn met with observers who will evaluate this special training, as well as a team of technicians on standby in a booth near the AB Tower. In the midst of an atmosphere that seemed familiar but everything was new, it was still a little comforting for Ravyn to meet an acquaintance, Tisha. This girl from Themeise's Personnel Department volunteered to be Ravyn’s training assistant, which covers almost every role to

“Shane was just talking about getting you a sprite or something.” “I’d prefer a ginger ale,” she says. Shane chuckles. “I’ll go out and get that for you,” he says. “I’m sure you have a convenience store or something in this rich neighborhood.” “You can take my car,” I offered. “My driver will take you wherever….” He looks over his shoulder, giving a nod. “Are you guys playing well?” Raine questions, taking the container from Shane.
